Well some developments, kinda, not really, lots of sads.

Seems Facelift EJ20H AT ECU has the TCU integrated which makes a straightforward manual swap pretty much impossible.

This leaves me a few options.

Stay Auto. Which is fine I guess except it's an awful hateful thing and I don't enjoy it near as much as I'd like to.

Single conversion. Which given the amount of coin I just splashed on TT specific parts I'd really rather not do + as much as people like to hate on it I really don't mind the twins at all. Yes it's probably needlessly complicated with plenty of additional failure points but working correctly it's actually a pretty nice experience.

Track down a hens teeth BG5B/C GT Manual Loom & ECU for a plug and play swap.

or

Track down an EJ20R engine then a less uncommon GT-B Manual Loom & ECU for  plug & play swap.

Either of the latter two would be favourable. I suspect Unless a 20R pops up fairly quickly though I'll likely end up leaving the auto for now then converting once I've tracked down the GT bits,

No, Rev C/D GT non Bilstein runs the exact same 20H 9.0 comp engine as all Auto series2 BD/BG and a 4.11 box, hence separating it from the 20R GT-B setup ;)

Edit:
That list is wrong anyway(actually quite a bit is wrong), 20R is 8.5:1 not 8. As are all 20G engines with the exception of export market first gens which ran the 8.0 due to the shitty fuel us and other markets had and the expectation to run on 95ron.

Small change in C/r wouldn't affect much anyway

No different to somebody dropping a different short block in their car without adjusting the hg thickness

WOOOO!

Correct ECU and harness for a manual 20H sourced from New Zealand, just sorting out the specifics but they'll be on their way shortly.

HUEG Partsouq order will be here this week and hopefully a couple bits I tacked onto a mates order as I forgot them :/

Ripping apart parts RS this weekend and hopefully if there's enough time ripping out the slushbox and engine from the Legacy.

It's all happening :D :D :D

Geez you got onto that quick! That'd be a relief.

I bet you knew the right places to call after your NZ trip!

What parts will be up for grabs from the parts RS if there are any?
I'll have to see what RS specific parts I need. I think most are generic such as the air box etc.

Cheers

Think at this point everythings been spoken for really. Already sold the good bits I wasn't planning on hanging onto, shell with all the RS kit etc has been claimed. Just need to get it all apart and get it gone really.

Had a successful weekend. Rippped the guts out of the parts car and said goodbye to the shell.

Then today my Partouq order arrived. Unfortunately a bunch of parts I'd ordered weren't in stock so was refunded for that portion of the order.
Of course in typical Partsouq fashion the day after being sent they emailed to let me know half the outstanding parts were back in stock :/

Not going to be any leaking turbo'd BG's in Victoria after we're done

Anyway, torqued to spec is just the manuals way of saying 'we couldn't get it any tighter, see if you can'.

Haha, I'd hate that. I still haven't submitted my order to PartSouq. What was the turnaround time from the day you submitted the order?

Submitted order on the 4th, shipped Saturday. Big order too as you can see. Have had faster turnaround on smaller orders especially when everything is listed as in stock.

Not bad at all. Sucks that they only tell you once your order arrives though...
