I'd say that stud is forked from galling (not cross threaded as not all the thread is forked) due to no lubricant on the threads, common with chrome wheel nuts. The chrome plating gets on the threads of the nut during manufacture and rubs off as the nut is spun on and off quickly and rolls up like a snowball, gathering metal as it goes around eventually jamming the nut.
Always use copper grease or similar on wheels studs!!

Even on my phone those wheels look too small Morgs!
