Just as slow too. Glad there’s no bickering like there can be with the oldies!

We had a bit of a squirt a little while ago though, that's a good thing.

Works really well!

A long 12mm bolt goes through the bush and the tool. The large tool (ID is same as bush) goes on one side of the crossmember and the small tool (OD same as bush) goes on the other. Tighten the bolt and the bush is pressed out. Easy!

I love farkin around with wiring! Hope it all works. :)

That makes sense. I was thinking instillation, not removal!!

Me too! Hopefully a bench test of the loom and the engine will happen this weekend! Can’t wait!!

To install, just reverse the tool. Press in the new bush with the small tool and use the large tool to press against.

I love it Beckers! It keeps the old grey matter working hard. But what I really like is where this loom goes - into a conversion! Second EJ conversion, first was ten years ago in Ruby Scoo, that one is still working very well ;)

I’ve got a couple of earth wires to put in, add a starter reference wire and then I’ll be good to use it for a test run. I’m just sorting out the engine setup for the test.

Cheers

Fckn Febst rubbish....

:o .....How long did they hold out for? I remember when asking around a few years ago, a lot of people were recommending Febest, so I went ahead with them for the FCA LIR bushings. Might be due for an inspection me thinks...

On another note, the old folks' Impreza is due for its permanent airbag fix. To all the NSW Central Coasties, is Gosford pretty much the only place to go? I believe CCMG Wyong is an authorised service centre, but I don't think they deal with the Takata recalls?

Have most of you had your permanent fixes done?

About 10,000kms.

The originals last over 160,000

Doesn't Corgiwerx (werks?) in Syd do decent bushings?

And urgh, I have to take Impreza in for valve springs, I think the takata hand grenade is done.

Probs has leaking timing cover also.

Best bit with the valve spring rework is getting a free oil and coolant change.

For those interested, my cut down wiring loom checked out and my $62 PAP engine fired up without any knocking. No codes = me stoked!

Video up at some point, hopefully soon!

Not sure if he does the diff bushes. OEM is only $20 plus delivery from Partsoq.

@RX25SE - *internet high five back at you!*

But, Ive got a code 35. Purge control solenoid valve. Should be an easy fix.

Ill leave off updates here and will add to my build blog when the time comes ;)

Ill be laying the wiring over the vehicle today to see where Ill run all the bits of wiring...

Well, I didn't get to lay out the wiring, we went to impromptu family lunch. But, this evening I got this quick video sorted.

Enjoy my hectic, expensive testing facility!

I still lurk. Rarely post though. I'm pre-occupied trying to get our life together atm. We've moved into the house we built, but I still haven't been able to afford to get the backyard concrete done. We bought a business for my gf, and now looking at getting a car for the business to replace her trusty Civic (too small).

Car is due for a service. Only just ticked over 50k lol. It's become the car I used to run across Brisbane in every week to a station runner. I still don't mind it, exhaust tips get proper black after a week. Direct injection yo.
