Been out sick for almost two weeks (forking worst flu I've ever had) so apart from going to work for my first week in this new job, I've come home to basically shit, eat and sleep.

What's up bitches?

Had to google that, not a commonly used acronyms/s. It's called DDD in the latest DSM.

But yeah sort of, detachment is a common thing in a lot of our clients but not a primary symptom. We see more emotional disassociation. But yeah I've dealt with disassociation that approaches the level described in DDD. As they state, its underlying cause is anxiety and stress, which is probably the number one mental health problem in our society in terms of prevalence.

The stuff I've read states that psychotherapy is your best option, I'd agree. A it of CBT with some Positive Psychology Interventions. I actually just completed a presentation on Pos Psych, so I recommend you look up the APA's Road to Resilience, it's a 10 step guide. Probably good for any bloke going through shit in their life.

Additionally, probably a good time to remind everyone that they are entitled to 10 free sessions (bulk billed) of Psychology per year, all they need to do is go see their GP. This is mainly because I've just finished reading about the latest suicide stats for veterans.

Thanks for the descriptive post.

I knew you were into this sort of thing professionally but didn't know on the exact terminology to use. I've only ever known it to be called depersonalisation or derealisation.

Sorry to hear Gaz.

Having the flu is never nice. It seems that Sydney has copped it just after Melbourne.

Just finished two of my busiest work weeks, all 10-12hr days and 14hrs on the last day. I was hoping for a day off this week but ended up getting booked all week. Money is nice.

Need to find a few days (and another car) so I pull the H6 from the RB for the usual head gaskets and timing case reseal.

Day off tomorrow.

My new job is bloody awesome. Loving it so far. Making money and meeting my passion for cars at the same time, what more can one ask for?

It's the best deal I reckon, haha.

Has anyone had any dealings with Suttons Subaru Chullora? They're literally a block away from where I work and I'm thinking of getting my recall and dash replacement work done there purely out of convenience, I just don't know anything about them.

ive bought parts from them!

i called them couple of months ago to book for the airbag replacement, they told me to come on a Friday, i took the day off (im casual)

went there on Friday and they told me that they are out of stock (airbags) instead of calling me not to go. Anyway she said that she will ring me. Still waiting

it takes a whole day to install it. they remove the whole dashboard. its very sensitive they crack easy.

ive got  a friend that works at mc graths Liverpool, thats were im taking my car

Sweet as, thanks Argi. I work at the Noble dealership up the road so it was more out of convenience than anything else. Otherwise I was gonna take it to Aaron at the Subaru in West Ryde but travel and lack of days off doesn't help me.

Read through a post on Facebook where someone did the work and it was flawless so that's good news at least. I've purposely put it off so the workers can perfect the work. :P

Hell yeah! This year it was my goal to get into a good paying job. Next year is going to be full of excitement as we will be moving into our first property. So much to look forward to.
