Last day working for Bankwest today! It's bittersweet but I'll be moving onto bigger and better things.

The forum will never die!

I've been sick for the entire past week. Just as well I took this whole week off before starting my new job.

Rosberg, have you ever dealt with people that have DP/DR by any chance?

We're still working on getting finance for our house. Unfortunately they've valued the building contract as being worth 40k less than the quote. I'm hoping the builder will meet us halfway, otherwise we might have to borrow significantly more. Then we'll need to pay mortgage insurance.

Had to google that, not a commonly used acronyms/s. It's called DDD in the latest DSM.

But yeah sort of, detachment is a common thing in a lot of our clients but not a primary symptom. We see more emotional disassociation. But yeah I've dealt with disassociation that approaches the level described in DDD. As they state, its underlying cause is anxiety and stress, which is probably the number one mental health problem in our society in terms of prevalence.

The stuff I've read states that psychotherapy is your best option, I'd agree. A it of CBT with some Positive Psychology Interventions. I actually just completed a presentation on Pos Psych, so I recommend you look up the APA's Road to Resilience, it's a 10 step guide. Probably good for any bloke going through shit in their life.

Additionally, probably a good time to remind everyone that they are entitled to 10 free sessions (bulk billed) of Psychology per year, all they need to do is go see their GP. This is mainly because I've just finished reading about the latest suicide stats for veterans.

QLD property market. Better off betting on boxing than trying to navigate that ***** of a market without losing money.
