Hi,

I remember thinking that it was super hoppy when Pizey gave me one a few years ago. They have gotten pretty massive now though, so I doubt the recipe is the same.

Cheers,
Nik

Possibly. Either that or my palate just got destroyed by Punk. It's a good pils though. I can't find any brewing faults and it'd fit style guidelines.
I love the fact we brew a Helles as our lager.

Just took day 2 grav reading. Dropped another 8 points down to 1.030. Had a taste and unfortuantely it's a bit cheesy. I'm really hoping this is just some autolised yeast near the bottom and it's progressing as it should. Smells good bubbling through the airlock.

Sig worthy.

I read the first 43 pages of the beer thread last night. Wow how peoples palates have changed.

Woke up this morning to see my fermenter had dropped to 20*c. Shouldn't be an issue. I would have preferred to keep a constant temp right through ferment though. Being at 20 all the way through would have been better. A fair lot of yeast has dropped out now, and Attenuation is definitely slowing. Looking for another 8-10 point drop today. Should be bottling Friday night I reckon.
I bought one of those plunger style bottle rinses and a drying tree yesterday to make the bottling process less of a headwreck. It seems this is the part that puts people off homebrewing

Sig worthy.

Hi,

Yeah, I'm fermenting everything at 17/18 at the moment. It's coming out great!

Cheers,
Nik

Bugger you didn't ask me for a tree! I've got heaps of the little buggers I could have made you a little one out of.

Cheers,
Nik

I needed it this week anyway mate. Plus one day you'll use them again.
I'll be writing it off for tax too. Now that I'm not spending as much on detailing, I need other tax write off. Haha like the $80 I spent will make any difference.

Sig worthy.

No comment about my awesome sticker placement?

Hi,

Depending on the volume, you essentially get 60c/$1 back. I think I'll get even more back because she's such a little brewhaus!

What sticker? The Stones? Bit wonky.

Also, how are PEOPLE? Someone STOLE a Posted Image'ing flying dog - EMPTY - off of my beer wall.

Cheers,
Nik

Holy crap... No wonder I detest people.

Maybe I should invest in brewing... better returns than my god damn shares ! LOL

Haha thanks Josh. These are some of the promo stuff Nik and I got from the Stone Brewing dinner we went to earlier this year. We were trying to think of something appropriate to display them on for the long term. Was going to put them on my car, but I don't really like stickers on cars unless it's advertising you're own business.

Tonight I picked up 5 of the Weihenstephaner range.

So far Ive had the Pilsner;
was orrite. Perfectly Pilsnery is the best i can say. To be honest I could happily pay half the price and get Oettinger. But Pils is not my fav style.

Kristall Weissbier:
Again, not a massive fan of wheat, but this one is bloody beautiful. Soooooo much flavour. Big sweet malted wheat. Banana lollies. almost a toffee flavour, but not in a diacetyl way.

I hope to report back later with the rest. Dont count on it though. Beeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeer!!!!!!!!!!!

Sig worthy.
