sh1t happens :(

It could have been a lot worse, at least you did'nt tear the panel or smash the bumper or rear light. Hope it does'nt cost to much to fix. Now go and nuke that pole..

I got my first quote from Subaru (eblens) just to use as a comparison, will get some better quotes soon hopefully (my dad knows an owner of a repairs business and my uncles is mates with an owner of another one) Link to quote: http://rapidshare.co...-Quote.rtf.html My thoughts are that its a tad overpriced and theres some rediculous little bits and pieces like: "remove and replace boot trim - 3 hours of work at $90 <_< and what the hell is - lh qtr glass - $100??? i didnt break any glass, anyway will get the other quotes from my 'contacts' soon :drinks:

They obviously do a good job.
The quarter glass and boot rubbers should to come out so there is less sign of repair and masking.
The Gen3 rear 1/4 is a bastard to get out and and is a one piece IIRC. You can't just replace the rubber mould. It's one unit.
As Tony Montana would say:
In this country, you gotta make the money first.
Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.

Without re-reading the thread; who's paying, you or insurance? Panel beaters sometimes overprice sections of the job as the assessor runs the price down.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Just read the quote. Price seems fair considering the damage. Pain in the a$$ though. How long will they have the car?

Might pay to ask. FYI ours took a month for a smaller repair to the same area but it took a week just to sort the claim. Assessor was hopeless getting the paperwork in.

I can't view the quote you got because the DL limit has been reached for that link but are they painting any of the doors or the bootlid or anything extra that didn't get damaged?
