Get bored, make single, get bored, add .5ltr, get bored, add ez30r + big single... I think once you get bored of that, then you can sell it :)

I agree.

Great cars evolve from good cars.
You still love it, time to show it.

Well the auto isn't slow. I got hold of a VBOX from my motorcycle mechanic for an hour and found a nice piece of quiet country road to run some speed measurements. I had a slight tail wind but not too much. Anyway I wanted to do some 0-100kph times. No 1/4's as that would be risky licence wise. I did 3 runs. The first sucked as I did not stall it up but I still got a 6.6sec sprint. 2nd run was a flat 6sec with a stall up to 2000rpm. Run 3 was a 3000rpm stall holding 11psi when I let go and I got a 5.7sec run. I cannot believe my auto wagon did that! I am so happy with it after that. Keep it for another week I will.

Um did you read the post fully. I did not do a 1/4mile time as that would involve me doing law breaking speeds (cough).

Hey lads. I got a steering and alternator/battery light today. I did a full lock u-turn and it came on. I stopped the car and it went away. Got home and checked the belt and it was all good. Steering fluid is full. I did a few lock to locks in the driveway and the lights came on again. Belt were not slipping. Stopped the engine, started again and no lights. Any ideas?

How is this lamp turned on???

Did any other lamps come on or just the two?
Did they come on together?

Just the two and they are related as I pulled the alt plug out and started it. Both lights were off. Plugged it back in and both appeared. I think its a dying alternator.

That would be my guess.

Got a multimeter??

Check the charge rate.

Careful unplugging alternators with the engine running. An unregulated alternator can go over 20 volts without too much trouble. Kills ECUs.

Thats a weird light isn't it. Not sure if my AUDM Gen2 had it or if its some JDM thing. I know the JDM cars have those variable steering racks to differentiate themselves from the AUDM cars, but then you'd notice a problem with it wouldn't you.

For what its worth, my alternator was playing up in the final months I had my Gen2 and it never flashed any lights at me on the dash.

Thanks guys. And no I stopped the car each time I plugged and unplugged. I'm not that stupid. Yeah I need to get it checked out. Variable rack still works (badly).
