Had a chat with a guy from IM, this is what he told me RE: Importing Subaru's:look on importmonster

Basically, cars at the link below are currently eligible for import. You'll notice that there are no Subarus on there - this is because the majority of cars that could be eligible under the SEVS scheme are actually sold here in full volume by Subaru. If any chassis variant is sold here, we can't import them. IE - no early STI are eligible as we got the Impreza here. No gen 3 Liberty/Legacy are eligible, as we got the N/A versions of them.
Rubbish rules I know, but that's our govt protecting local car companies.
