Back in the day he inherited his fathers lawn mowing and tree lopping business
Needless to say our lawns were awesome, i think some of his lawn obsession wore off on me cause i too find myself perfecting the lawn
one of my brothers is a truck mechanic for a big lawn mowing equipment place over in perth.
when i was staying over there he ripped up his whole lawn and started over... i never learnt more about grass lol.
Ripped up the old, used the aerator on the whole yard then levelled it, ended up planting a nice soft Durban throughout. every day he would get home from work and sit in the back yard with the hose drinking a beer ( love perth for its underground water supply )
Myself i don't have a lawn mower or a snipper but i borrow the in-laws Masport and Bosch snipper. started off abused and barely working.. they dont respect their stuff at all after cleaning the rust and replacing the rounded stumps that were the original blades from 15 years ago it does a decent job on my lawn now.
this is my lawn... only photos i can find at short notice, was a hot summer last year and the lawn suffered also notice my sons lawnmower down the back under the trees... he is in training

Only the front yard though. Our backyard consist of a in-gound pool and concrete stencil. No grass at all.
We moved in about years ago and it looked nothing like this. Use to have shitty 3 log high walls at the front with a sweeping path that was collapsing.
The old man n I done the whole stone wall ourselves, raised the grass level n done the all the gardening. The only thing not done by us was the path.
I'll try n find pictures of the old garden.

Maybe just a hose down even?
Alright guys, I think I'm going to go the upgrade on the ride on. Need some advice if anyone has any.
I'm looking at moving to a zero turn tractor style, either a Simplicity Champion, or a Bushranger Encore, as seen here;
Can't really stretch to JDeere money... but I want something tough as nails.
Cheers,
Nik
