This is an original 1971 Cooper S that is sitting in a factory that my mrs's dad rents. Its been sitting there ever since ive known her. Bored to 1275, 10,000 original miles, unreal little car. Needs new clutch and rego. But worth about $20k!! Owned by some old guy who cant drive it anymore i really want to buy it off him!

I should just convert to single, right?As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;
"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

Nice work so far!
Now stick a VTAK motor in there!
I'm not a fan of a car that shares its engine oil with the gearbox.... chip a gear or two shifting gears, and its ALL OVER!
I Was gonna put a 4agze (i think it is) From a jappo starlet turbo in there, good for about 150hp atw. but not anymore. 1 turbo car breaking things is enough. The motor i have should be good for about 80hp which is pretty spirited in a car which the heaviest thing is the motor!
This car will now be a cruiser, so no chipping gears! Though there is a "strainer" over the oil pickup but i dont know how effective that would be.
Thanks for all the comments guys
And codeburner, as for your bro selling the mini for $400, What a fool. big loss on his part. id be pissed off too!

My first car was a Mini Cooper that I got for my 21st with which I rebuilt and won the Mt. Cooper concourse in '99. My old man has had over 300 of the things. A couple of Bathurst racers and some nice ones. I currently have this thing in a shed down the coast. A Mk.1 Cooper S.

My father-in-law [to be] used to race them too. Somewhere between mid to late 70s he was the NSW champion or something! Used to win a fair bit! I love looking through his car photo albums.

Sorry, I'm a closet Toyota nut Adam, and the urge to correct you is strong!I Was gonna put a 4agze (i think it is) From a jappo starlet turbo in there, good for about 150hp atw. but not anymore. 1 turbo car breaking things is enough. Starlet never ever came with a 4AGZE, or any A series motor. I'm skeptical if a 4A would actually fit, to be honest. They're a fairly sizable four pot.
But what you're thinking of, (and what I've seen before) is the Starlet GT 4E-FTE (E series engine).
Here's an example

I'm sure you've also seen the examples in the UK that run around with Honda 1.8L motors.... tubular chassis however....(DO IT!)
