I Was gonna put a 4agze (i think it is) From a jappo starlet turbo in there, good for about 150hp atw. but not anymore. 1 turbo car breaking things is enough. The motor i have should be good for about 80hp which is pretty spirited in a car which the heaviest thing is the motor!

Nice Dam, it's the first time I have seen this thread.

The 4AGZE is from a  AW11 MR2.

Yep this english crap costs heaps to resto / improve.

Forget 10 inch wheels, move up to a 13. I'm running 175/60/13 on a 13 x 6 inch rim.

Ah I like breathing life into an old thread.

I've got 13" steelies. Need to pinch a pair of Superlites.

Yeah if you were to convert it JDM is way to go, cheaper engines and parts, and a shit load of aftermarket gear.

That being said, nothing wrong with the original motor if you treat it right.

You don't have a mini though do you, Simon?

I love the look of a low mini with bolt on flares, fat tyres on 10" rims :)

Funny how tastes change!

Any movement on this?

We've had minis in our family for about 25 years! Dad picked up a '68 round nose with a shot engine for $200 around 1992.

It was the first car I drove at 10 years of age, my brother took it on as his first car in 2002. It sat in a shed for a period of time after this then my dad and I stripped it out while he was in Japan - quickest one yet, 2 days to a bare shell. That was 2007 I think. Engine is back together with a mild cam and the body is still waiting coat number "I can't remember" before everything goes back in again...

I love minis, and would love to get hold of a round nose panel van to do up - we've got enough bits to build another two vehicles on top of the one we've got :D

Also that moke, I hope you've stored it out of the weather! They're worth some money these days, even just as a shell (you know, because there's so much to them!!).

Looking forward to an update on this one!

Cheers

Bennie

Heh. I wish. The house has taken priority over this. It will see the road one day (I hope) just need the body work done!

It and the moke are taking up space in my shed :(

I know that feeling! ^^^

Chip away at it! You'll be amazed what you can achieve with bits here and there!

Maybe you can face my brother with his build. I think the last time he actually touched it was 2011!

Cheers
