Every sub/amp ive wired up, the problem ive had is finding correct ground.... And getting through the firewall!

Got through the fire wall ok and I'm trying to set the amp up under the drivers seat and I've used the bolt which holds the seat down.

The light is activated on the amp which I assume means it's working...!

Hopefully it's not the remote wire or the RCA's at the HU end because I don't want to be undoing the facia again!

Done! Love this thing!
Install was the easiest thing! The guy at JB wanted $150 for the install. Pffft.

Yeah it is expensive due to installers being contractors, but if you know what your doing it's definitely a whole lot cheaper

In saying that, looks good Morgs

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

I should just convert to single, right?

iYeah i found a handy little spot on with a plug in it for the battery cable to run through the firewall. Im pretty sure If the lights coming on on the amp it shouldnt be the remote wire because thats whats making the amp turn on and off...
Hopefully you get it sorted but mate

Have you your a cable that is RCA to 3.5 inch jack? Use that to test it the amp to sub is working with iPod. maybe you have to turn the output on on the hu?

Looks brilliant Morgs! Can't go wrong with a Pioneer...

Haha yeh its hard to explain to your folks the benefits of upgrading the head unit.

"MP-what?!"

Gotta love MP3. Take it for granted now, but I remember the days when I use to have a pile of CDs in the glove-box of my Liberty

One headlight done, the other is in the oven..

Hey Sam, did you leave the silver cup in there and just take off the orange cap?

I went to put the cup back in but it snapped :o

They're done :)

A few little scares. When putting the two pieces back together again, they just wouldn't line up! Had to pull apart 4-5 times for it to finally work!

I got some of the glue (man that stuff is like tar!) on the lens but nothing a good squirt of De-Solve-It can't fix. However, I did accidently get some on the inside of the lens! BAHHH!! Got most of it off and it's not too noticeable thank goodness!

Once it was all put back together I tested out all the lights and the highbeams weren't working. Everything was plugged in right. After pulling it all back out again, turns out both the globes broke in the process! Haha!

Also, does any one else know if this is right:

When lights are on, you either pull back on the stalk to flash high beam, or push forward to lock it on.

BUT, when you don't have any other lights on, if you pull the stalk forward, the regular lights flash instead of the HB globes???!!

Weird.

And annoying because HIDs take a while to warm up!!

Anyway, here's some pics :)

I love it!

Turns out there is a silver cup holding the orange cap in place. I'm not sure if I was supposed to leave the silver cup in there but one of them snapped so I guess that answers it for me!

Posted Image

Took a pic of this too because I didn't when I installed the HIDs. This is my small ballast mounted onto the underside of the headlight.

All I have to do now is buy some chrome large wedge-style globes that flash orange :)

Excellent stuff Sam Morgs :P Nah, really good s**t that is B)

Weird issue you have with the lights ON. Obviously the high beams should supplement the lows when pulled back. When pushed, nothing should happen.

I'll get some new globes tomorrow and see what happens.

Just bought some chrome globes for the front off ebay. They should arrive next week sometime. At least the regular halogen globes look orange next to the HIDs!!

Hey morgs.

I did leave the plastic chrome cup in there. But the first one I snapped aswell but superglued it back together.

They do come up really good!!

I had to purchase some new globes for the front from bursons. They didn't have any chromed globes, so had to settle with orange ones, fark they're expensive.. $13.50..
I will have to get some chrome spray paint tomorrow and spray all my indicators as they all show up orange through their clear lenses. Hopefully it all works out ok.

Morgz, where dis you get the chrome lights off eBay? They are the wedge type ones too! I'll also have to get t10 ones for the side indicators. Unless the chrome spray works..

Cheers mate, keep it up..
Sam

Ps one of my high beams aren't working too?!
What's the go with that??

Love your work Morgs.

Make sure you seal that shizzle up well.

Speaking of which... What did you use to seal your lights with?

I may get around to this in the next few days. I have some time off from work :)
