Haha as much as I love the dirt, I do love a clean car!

I read in the user manual yesterday that 'under no circumstances should this vehicle be driven off road. It is not made for the harsh conditions.'

Laughable :P

Multimeter was worth every cent. Needed it for quite a few things lately.

No more pictures, don't have a decent camera.
Wheels are (OMG, shock horror - they'll assplode on me and send me hurtling into a pre-school!!) Rota Grids, 18 x 9.5 +38 (but there is a 5mm spacer in the front to clear the Brembo's, so the front is +33), tyres are 235 40 18, so yes they are stretched abit, but still on the safe side, colour is Gunmetal.
Paint on them sucks, I never thought I'd be looking for touch-up paint for wheels...

Iz it still set set up like this? pls oh pls take more.. camera phone is a-ok :)
hahah i dont understand, i dont know brands so well - Rota generally looked down upon? or sumin?
I assume the paint coming off is Not due to gutter rash, ur saying general ware and tare is very badly affecting them???

I think ill PShop these on mine..

Rota had quality issues with one batch of one style of rims 5+ yrs ago and people (you know, them people) think you will die if you use them.
Paint is coming off due to lazy tyre people not giving a **** and maybe due to a slight stretch on the tyres, hence abit more work. And my wife ran one of them into a gutter for me.

Gen3 is soft, mine says if driven in hard conditions to half the time between services and maintenance, and to check XX and YY more often.

Outback is more like brokeback :P

Wasn't that hard was it?
Now, bake your headlights and get rid of the orange in the front.

Car looks great.
What brand are the globes & where did you get them if you don't mind me asking?
I've got similar ones in my lights & 1 has died, replaced them with Philips Silvervision globes but with these you can still see a bit of orange :(

Cheers.

I bought them here off ebay.

I assumed the original bayonet globes had north-south pins but you will actually need offset pins.
I ended up shaving one pin off to make it fit. All good though - still works :)

ie.

Thanks for that.

+1 for de-orange-ing headlights, looks heaps better IMO.

Obviously a bit different for you with the later model lights but it gives an idea.

I did it on my old Gen2 and really cleaned up the front end. Have to bake the headlights of the outback to do the same

Nice list, never thought the bigger mags would fit on because of the factory alloys merely fitting (16's)... obviously they do :D

Is the ride still good? I love the sound of the dual range, I want to get a manual one too either 2 gen or 3 gen with dual range...

2 outbacks would be cool but then it'd be like whats the point haha.

Love the 'Got Outback' sticker haha, I just got a nice AWD sticker printed by a sign maker (looks great) and threw it on along with a world rally team sticker... cost me 20 bucks but worth it. I'll get some pics up of mine.
