What exactly is required to de-lift the outbacks?

Decided to attack the callipers. Going along with my outrageous decision to paint them white.
Got some high temp paint from Bunnings, lots of sand paper and degreaser.
Asked Katie if she wanted to help me - having two going at one time is alot better! She ended up having alot of fun. Must have something to do with being the daughter of a carpenter? Loves gettin those hands dirty

Side note: Only ended up getting the front ones done anyway because i wanted them to be done well this time (i tackled the liberty ones without doing it before and they didnt turn out too good)

Turned out pretty good. Taking note of what was mentioned when i first thought of it on here. Yes, the white is already dirty... :s

Front ones only

Then when i was tightening the nuts on the LHS i pulled too hard while the RHS was still on the jack. I watched in horror as the whole car fell over

Managed to get her up with a little help from the old fella, put the wheel back on and went for a drive to make sure everything was still working ok! It is... phew!!

Ive been meaning to get a hydraulic jack for a while. Definitely will before i attempt anything more.
I never have and never will work under a car on jacks unless it is an emergency situation. Painting callipers seemed relatively harmless...

Spend as much on a pair of jack stands as you spend on the jack.
And use them!

Supposedly 'white' LED parkers look very blue up against them

Probably will. At least now white is a good base for the next colour.
White is a hard colour to paint over you will need more layers of the next paint to go over white....if it was black it be a lot less hassle..
cheers
