B4's love to rev! take it out to redline in first then change at about 7500 in second
car loves it and has done for the last 30,000Km since forging hehehe. (yeah show no mechanical sympathy..if it cant take it then it deserves to die!)
Nik at that the higher end of the rev range it may be starting to drop off in power a little bit but you have to remember that its still making more power there then it would at 5000RPM.
Mine actually feels like its pulling hard all the way to redline, no noticeable power drop off in the first 3 gears
When does the fuel cut kick in?
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Hi,
Fair enough, it is still making power, albeit dropping off. But is it not going to accelerate better if you shift up a touch earlier and keep the boot in? I am seriously asking, not being sarcastic.
Cheers,
Nik
Not really. In most cars you're probably right, however in a TT you want to be at around 5000rpm after the gear change to avoid the VoD!
I've hit the limiter in mine a couple of times in 1st, once the secondary turbo comes on boost it revs out very quick.

In mine no, better to rev out (maybe about 7300 - that seems to give good results)Hi,

walts did you get any misfiring or surging under load before your injectors were cleaned?
No misfiring, but on the secondary turbo it seemed a bit lumpy and the power delivery wasn't as smooth.

was it like this for a while before you got the CEL that made you think it was injectors?
how about pinging - you mentioned before you checked for CELs, did you check the knock table with learning view or something too?

No it was running fairly good until one night when i noticed the CEL blink on.
My car never pings... Actually i have only ever heard it ping once and it wasn't on a hot day. I can boost it on a 45 degree day and it's fine.

isaacs auto electrical said they'd do them for $6.50 an injector if they were removed from the car. looks like i might do that...
Same quote as me, and the owner of isaacs owns a B4, can't go wrong. But i paid for labour as well.
