That reserve tank was a ***** when I did mine.

Put a tiny bit of rubber grease on your o rings when you chuck them back in, makes it much easier, and less chance you'll tear one.

Make sure the place that does it can also check coil resistance too, older cheaper machines don't, but the better ones do. Can be a way to tell if one will pag out soonish

Have it booked in here:

ultrasonic cleaning will mean SFA unless you get them flow tested. this may cost you a little more. you need to make sure that all injectors are within close range of eachother...

you'd be hoping they would have a proper injector cleaning machine not just a standard jewelry ultrasonic cleaner.

The injector cleaning machine actually opens and closes the injectors while they are in the bath, if its a proper machine it will have the flow bench attached.

Same sort of Shiz as what we have

Can't be that hard then can it? :P

Place injectors at the top of the test tubes, plug them in, click the on button.

Hi, What point is there to revving a B4 to 7k? Asthma attack anyone? Cheers, Nik

I don't know about your old one Nik, but mine still has power up there, plus when you change gears it stays well above the magical 4500 revs. And I only took it there twice and to 7700 revs once to see if the light was gone. :P

Hi, They still move forward but I haven't seen a curve from a B4 that's positive in that rev range. Maybe you have a freak mobile! WOuldn't surprise me! Cheers, Nik

Good to hear its sorted and running better! At 7700 I'd be sticking my fingers in my ears waiting for the bang! Most I've ever spun an engine was 8200 in my Gemini, all noise and no power up there.

B4's love to rev! take it out to redline in first then change at about 7500 in second :D car loves it and has done for the last 30,000Km since forging hehehe. (yeah show no mechanical sympathy..if it cant take it then it deserves to die!) Nik at that the higher end of the rev range it may be starting to drop off in power a little bit but you have to remember that its still making more power there then it would at 5000RPM. Mine actually feels like its pulling hard all the way to redline, no noticeable power drop off in the first 3 gears

good to hear. did it cost you much? i will get mine done soon, it'll be my last attempt to stop it pinging before i resort to a single turbo swap.

my b4 with ecutek2 feels like it's making power all the way to the limiter, but the dyno shows that it drops off after 6500.
