XT is an EJ257 with a td04.

EJ255 :D Higher compression but fugg all boost. they only run around 11psi in the fozza

My basis is weight + power.

1500kg + 100kw@w?? (Tristans nugget mananged 120kw@w.)

If the final drive is 3.9 and 5th gear is 1.1

Similar kind of values to my old 2.2 gx which topped out at 180kmh (it was 1200kg and about 75kw.)

H6 is 180kw at the flywheel. thats easily 120kw atw. final drive is around 3.54 due to the 6spd i'm pretty sure, it would tick over 200 kph no hassles. it is a 6pot..

I did say it was 120kw alex. I wasn't sure on the exact final drive obviously. I'm only guestimating I never said any of it was exact. Just an educated guess. And LOL at 200kw+ plate friendly.

Hi,

Luckily I live on a property well big enough to max out the car without being on a public road, so my assumptions are quite well founded.

I don't think we've come anywhere near answering the OP question though. Sorry mate!

Cheers,
Nik

Hi, Thanks for ya help. I knew it was more of a cruiser. I was just wondering. Set up for cruising but still capable of a bit of fun. This probs a silly question but is it P-plate friendly? Cheers

XT is an EJ257 with a td04.

257 is an STi motor.

Forester XT is nothing anything remotely close to comparison to an STi.

Hi, No idea about NSW mate, but I have no reason I can think of why not? Only thing that is against being a 'first car' is the fuel consumption and you have to put 95 or better in her. Cheers, Nik

Hi, Has a bit to do with how much a tool you are on public roads aswell. You'd be a special little smiley face if you chuck 91 in all day long. Cheers, Nik
