Hey guys, I can't wipe the smile off my face :D :D :D Just picked up my new 2002 Outback H6 Luxury this morning after selling my beloved Lib RX yesterday:

Posted Image

Firstly, here are some specs:

H6 3.0L
4-speed auto
Leather seats
Fully electric drivers seat
Momo steering wheel
Electroluminescent DEFI cluster
Twin sunroofs
6-stack CD changer
Side airbags
VDC stability control

This one has a full Subaru service history. 100K service done. Low kms - only 109,000 on the clock! Dealer was asking $16,000. I paid $13,200 which included a full tank of fuel AND a polish done at Canterbury BMW.

Its not quite the twin-turbo charged Gen2 JDM goodness I was aiming for but I knew this was the car from me the moment I saw its advertisement - and I'm always one to trust my instinct!

The Legacy's were too limited in choice. I also considered Forester GT's and WRX hatches, but I found them a bit too spartan coming from the luxury of my Lib. Gen3 RX 2.5's were good but I had a soft spot for the raised Outbacks. This car is great because it makes it a hell of a lot easier transporting the dog. Also it gives me that option of doing some light softroading - something my RX was obviously unsuitable for. Its also very comfy!

Gonna miss my RX soooo much, but yehhh...absolutely stoked with this new toy! :yahoo:

Congrats on the purchase :drinks: . Must be stoked. H6 lux spec...nice! I've always liked the colour combo of the blue with the beige leather.

Thanks lads! I've been driving it around all day and here are a few observation/points of interest I thought I'd share: Positives: That B4-style illuminated cluster looks amazing. Makes the car feel way more modern than it really is. H6 is super smooth. Once you get it off the mark, its got some decent up and go. Seats are excellent - really comfy 8-way electric drivers seat, much better than those in my RX. Lumbar adjustment actually does something! Nik, those sunroofs are nice. Gives the cabin an airy feel to it and lets the sun warm up the interior. Negatives: Its ugly and heavy...but I absolutely love it! So thats a positive :D

congrats on the purchase Shiv, certainly better than those gen2's :P

As soon as she hands it to you, slowly take of your pants, then, while staring her straight in the eyes rub it against the tip of you penis, while continuing your painfully intense gaze whisper to her;

"My eye is watering, this might be a bit hot"

I should just convert to single, right?

Thanks guys, I'm getting my old rego plates put back on tomorrow morning, so I'll try and take a few pics then. The paints overall in very good nick with only a few minor imperfections, as you'd expect. Very much missing my Gen2! That was a great car, and I still hope to someday own a Gen2 GTB. It would be wrong for me to compare the Outback to my old RX, but basically this Outback can do things my last car couldn't do, and I got it specifically to serve more practical purposes. It has its own set of talents, and judged on them alone - its an absolute winner I rekon! Hell, who'd of thought I'd turn out to be a Gen3 convert bwahaha...
