But I've since found out the correct method is to take out the spring washer and you can pull the whole socket out.
This way, it's easier to re-grease it up

Morgs, so that one is adjustable yeah?
I been trying to find one but can only find the cheap non adjustable types..
Any idea where to pick one up? GFB ones are a bit overkill for me.

Are the $50 ones of eBay for a 02-06 impreza suitable and worth it for me? They look just like Morgans adjust. one but non adjust. and straight.
I'm not sure about the ebay ones. Mine isn't adjustable though

If you've done it the same way Morgan did, you'll just need to use a bit of force and it will go back in. Check that you're trying to put it back in at the same angle it came out.
Otherwise, if you read above, Morgan said there is an easier way of doing it:
take out the spring washer and you can pull the whole socket out.
