hello all,

I have beening thinking about the bonnet scoop on the b4 or Legacy. Usually bonnet scoops are pretty ricey but the wrx's seem to pull off the bigger scoop well, but im not sure it would look good on a Legacy/Liberty. You can buy many different types of scoops for these cars. What do you guys think?

Hahaha spot on Alexxx.

The wagon at the top looks fairly tough though.
The B4 is crap how ever.

Doesn't suit the Legacy, IMO.

Legacy is meant to be somewhat discreet.

yeah thats what I was thinking. More classy without the scoop :) Still, when I saw the first picture of the wagon, I thought it looked quite good.

Yeah I'm not really a fan of bigger scoops... S401 isn't too bad and is the only one I'd roll with.

That's what's confusing.
You don't like the scoops, because you want to be sedate. But then you go and make it louder then a shot gun!?

Wut?

Hahahahaha, agreed... was happy when I went to pick up the B4 after putting the 3" system in, the guy who finished for me had this worried look on his face and goes "I dunno if you'll like it, that muffler's pretty big, it's fairly quiet" then started it and gave it a rev and looked at me with a puzzled look "See!" he said.... I was grinning from ear to ear.

He's used to guys with N/A's and rexy's wanting it as loud as it can be.

Either find a s401 scoop or replica or just go with the ARC bonnet scoop wich is just an extension made for the
Gen4 but it fit the Gen 3 as well. I always wnted one of these but $250 odd plus they are carbon fibre look alike
so would pay to get it colour coded. Hhmm ,suprising i never got around to this mod as i did every other fuckin one lol.
Nothing left to break .

yeah I know the exact one. On the ARC website they suggest that the angle of the scoop allows for better air flow.

Proly the only mod i regret not doing , if i still had a b4 . I guess it would scoop up a bit more air
but it adds that subtle touch as well. Every mod i ever did was based on not gaining too much attention especially the cops attention.
A big scoop would go against this chain of thought especially if there's more under the hood that would be frowned on by Mr Pho leece lol.
Nothing left to break .

S401 scoop looks ok. I'd probably pick one up purely for the improved airflow. But the wrx scoops don't look good at all on a liberty.

I'd go NA bonnet and front mount.

Big letterbox scoops are for the ricerboiz who like to collect seagulls and pigeons as they valvebounce past.

I think stay with the sandard one.
At best, one from a S401.

Standard scoop looks good. I agree with what's been said, the Liberty has a recessed scoop because it's a different style to the WRX. But if you think your car looks better with a larger/different scoop, go for it. If you're after airflow, then FMI will beat a scoop.

So you can run it on 6psi with an rx fuel pump? :P
