Not a fan of the carbon scoop.
Looks tacky and out of place.

+2

Looks like some carbon fiber "looking" adhesive contact. Might look better in plain black or color coded silver??

I'm going to bow into this one, even if I am a bit late - I could be a little biased though. My B4 has the 401 scoop. It looks a lot tougher than the stock one, pulls an absolute crap load more air, but doesn't look retarded like a Spec C scoop... If anyone wants various angles, I'm happy to oblige with some more photos. From the inside the bulge is somewhat noticeable, similar to the BA/BF falcon XR8 bulges, but nowhere near as nasty when the sun hits on the wrong angle.

Although, mine does have the 401 front bar to go with it...

Pics!!!!

Found some more Legacy's with bigger scoops recently and figured I would add them to this thread. I am actually coming around to them personally.

This car is a Type A - C with D headlights, Blitzen bumper, brembos and K2 sccop!

K2 on white car and wrx replica one (probably bought from yahoo where custom ones sell)

Blitzen bumper, K2 scoop!

This last one kind of looks like a Forester due to the boxish bumper but still looks great. The car has one of the custom scoops from yahoo.

Not being nit-picky but if you look up the ADM B4 paint code it's actually called "Blue Pearl" and not Royal Blue. Thought you might be interested Ben! :drinks:

Not a fan of the exaggerated scoops to be honest.

Subtlety is where its at in terms of visuals.

The whole concept of the liberty/legacy IMHO is to be the silent and unassuming assassin. A wolf in sheep's clothing.

You don't want to blow that cover with a bonnet scoop to rival Australia Post parcel collection box.

S401 scoop is about as aggressive as you'd want to get it. After that, they all look botched, and like NA's trying too hard to look like tough turbo cars.

Have access to the guys car blog ---> http://minkara.carvi...7536/photo.aspx

Also have lots more pics of headlight conversions. Seems to be pretty common thing to do in Japan. They fit without changing anything but there is a very small gap where the headlight meets the bonnet but the car above has had a Type D bonnet fitted as well.

I always despised the larger scoops, thought they took too much away from the cars original design. But when I was doing my conversion I could not find one genuine bonnet that wasn't smashed up beyond repair. The only bonnet I could find was an aftermarket carbon job with this dirty, great big, cancerous growth of a scoop moulded into it. I hated it and it was only supposed to be temporary however like all cancers it has spread it's roots and grown on me and I actually quite like the larger scoops now. I do think that they need a chunkier front bar to pair up with though otherwise they can look a little out of place.

I'll have to check the laptop to see if I have any pics

Thread revival!!

S401 scoops are butt ugly lol
they just get stuck over the original which is ****!

The arc carbon scoop colour coded is the bomb, no extra bulge just a subtle lip, looks heaps better (can be molded into the scoop properly).....and actually helps with air feed (dyno proven ;))
this was one of the best things ive got for my car....aside from the conversion

not everyone wants to or can rock a "look at me" fmic
