How's your hearing? My mini sounded like that when I started it with no zorst!

Speaking of which, tinting easier with windows out of car?

Im sure theirs more then this out on the net but a quick google...

2.5" diff back mod, which increases mid range torque without effecting top end power, which in turn makes the car more drivable.

I've seen that around a few suby forums for the 2L motors.

$400 for a cat?
You got analized. Could get you a 3" metal substrate cat for $250... :P

If you look inside the cat though, it isn't your typical honeycomb design. It kinda looks like if you were to wrap bubble wrap up into a cylinder, and look side on.

Sociallydisabled - Tinting is easier in the car my friend, unless they're sliding windows like the old Landcruiser Troopcarriera had. But both ways are pretty easy. Hahaha.

Cheers,
Shazza

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Uh-ohz :P

Not liking were this is going. Purchasing "performance" parts without knowing specifications is asking for trouble.

Upon further inspection it looks like it's a 100-150cpi cat Soop.

Cool.
For the record. CPI is Cells Per Inch. The lower the number the less cells are per square inch. This means to cover the same area they have to be bigger, increasing flow but reducing its ability to burn hydrocarbons.

There is no cat availible in Australia that is ADR approved UNDER 200cpi.
So tints mate, your cat is about as legal as not having one at all, but its not going to be known unless it gets emmisions tested. Which I doubt you'll have trouble with.

Personally, I run two 100cpi cats on my SS. Not to sure what the Liberty has to be honest.

Ahhh okay. Yeah, I had nfi about the cats but the exhaust mate reckons they're around 100-150. He said it was super highflow, and he is fairly reputable.

Better then a broom handled stocky one I suppose.

I agree.
Performance > Rice.

I think you got shafted on the Price, but it will be high flow if its a genuine 100cpi cat. So it will do its job well if thats the case.

I don't mind paying a bit extra for a quality job, and the quality is awesome!

I was going to make it myself, but decided cbf. I'll just pay someone else to do it. :-)

Ahh, thanks Alexxx. Yeah its just running the stock black bosch one that sits just undsr the cooler. To be honest, I was thinking of just grabbing one of those adjustable plumb back turbosmart jobbies. I had one before and it never leaked. Won't be for a while yet though.

Cheers,
Shazza

make sure it is recirculated if using with stock ecu. expelled air into atmo instead of back into the intake = mixture issues

Yeah, it's 100% recirc. I hate vent-to-*** bovs.

On a side note, my dash only goes to 7, and my tacho was bouncing off my digital clock in my dash today, which is well past 7. So far, haven't found limiter. I was up around the 8k mark so it can't be far away surely?

YEah but didnt you pay $400 for the cat?
Was it just the cat or was it a premade section?

Yeah, I paid $400 for the cat, but the whole system was custom made out of various mandrel bends (no off the shelf item available, at least not in Aus), and he had to change a section on the dump pipe too to make sure it had adequate clearance of the tailshaft, and didn't sit to low. Hugs the bottom of the car nicely.

Sorry, brand new cat, with a flanges on the exhaust either side, and also a custom made straight through 3" pipe for if I want to take the cat out at any stage.

Cheers,
Shazza
