How big is gen2 sedan fuel tank?

60L but technically 55 usable.. light should come on at ~50L

I thought it was 45L? I was sure the manual says this too.

As embarrassed for having an automatic transmission as I am, I will try to contribute to this conversation. I like to try and feel like I drive a manual by going 1, 2, 3, D :sarcastic:

If I leave it in D (in my 4-speed automatic gear box), it changes to 4th at like 40km/h. Stick in in "POWER" mode, it wont get to 4th until 60 or 70. Or leave it to me and I'll still be in 1st at 60, and 7000rpm  .

Stick in in "POWER" mode,

Yell out "POWAH" when you hit the button, you'll be surprised how much faster you go.

Ok you two.

Say for example, it was a 60k zone for the next 50km, dead straight road, no hills, no traffic, you would keep it in 3rd the whole time?

Yes, every 10m's and triple demerit points, and an attack helicopter will bomb you if you speed.

As mine is the mighty 2.5 na, with enough low end torque to drag Tasmania back to the mainland, its 5th for me. Actually, due to the immense torque, I only use 5th and no other gear.
I would have been quite happy if Subaru had just made a one speed gearbox, plus reverse, to save weight thus saving even more fuel.

I just had another thought.
Seeing as manual Subarus are technically one wheel drive (unless fitted with a rear LSD to make them 1.5 wheel drive), they should have fitted only one wheel. Having a one speed, one wheeled Subaru would save heaps of fuel.

If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

4th for me!

I generally hold 4th till 75-80km/h labors to much in Fifth at the slightest incline below 70km/h thanks to my lighten flywheel lol.

General fuel consumption 8.5-9L/100km :)
