Looking HAWT Tony!

How were the US jump seats received? I bet they were something the usual crowd weren't used to!

I seriously hope my brumby could be as well coloured and turbo'd as yours some day - just have to pass it by the minister of fun and finance...

Cheers

geeezzz  6+ months since last update.. how SLACK of me.

ended up killing the carby on the EA81 buy running E91 ( in a brain fart moment put the cheap fuel in)

so started the EJ conversion,  bit by bit started ticking things off the list. rails and subframe modded, hydro clutch installed, new brake master

FB_IMG_1463287027806_zpshrar5mxr.jpg

ran another brumby "in" fuel line as my "return" line, made a box under the back that contains the lift pump, low pressure and high pressure filters, Bosch 044 and surge tank.  i sound deadned the insides of the box and foam mounted the pumps to keep the noise down.

20160515_153552_zpsvlycgly6.jpg

the last month or so have been working on the wiring loom for the turbo engine and tidying up different parts of the car

re-enforced mustache bar with Superpro bushes, FWD vortex sway bar (replaces the turbo RX rear swaybar i had in before)

3.9 rear diff, DCCD 5speed gearbox, shortened tailshaft and linkages etc,

THEN.  have been using the parents car while they have been touring Aus,  only to hear they are home bound (3 months early)  so now required the car to be finished sooner rather than later..  so ended up dropping in an EJ18 that i had sitting in the corner (this had previously been in a brumby, so the loom etc had already been done)

another weekend should see it back together.. and hoping it has little to no teething issues

Mate, I like that two tone engine bay you've got going on there, it sits very well with the engine in there, kind of like a backing colour highlight for the engine to stand out.

I hope you're cleaning up the turbo engine to look just as good as that black!

How long do you reckon it'll be before you have the turbo engine in there?

Cheers

Bennie

Love it!

How did you find a DCCD 5spd with a 3.9 final ratio? I thought they were all 4.44?

Looking tops as usual. I hope I can get my Brumby looking half as a good some day!

I'm also digging the 6x6 - I wouldn't mind one of those to build for offroading with the family...

The NA didn't live in there for long!

A few more questions - how'd you fit the vortex rear sway bar? And does it have to specifically be from a 2wd?

And what super pro bushes did you use in the mustache bar? Would these be suitable for the rear subframe too? I need these replaced on the L series.

Cheers
