It was like $500 or something?? Man they were such a good set of coilies, no teins but
for the price they felt so good
Theyre all sorta the same around that price....generally made in taiwan or something,
id never trust them pushed hard on a track!!!
EDIT: Look for a set that you can adjust spring pre-load seperately from the height.
You rotate the lower bracket for height and only adjust the spring perch for preload

If done CORRECTLY, they're awesome (And safe). They are an easier way to get more track, more grip and a more aggresive stance. I'll be putting some 10mm spacers on each wheel when i get the cashish freed up, but wont be buying off the shelf items. Going to get some made up, then painted black.
If they were unsafe when done properly, i highly doubt Porsche would use them on some models from the factory.
Well done mate, car is looking good. As Alexwski said, it is refreshing to see spanners being swung.
What else do you have planned for the rig?
Cheers,
Shazza
I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts, right off.

Exactly, i mean my ones were hub-centric and bolt on so the thread length was not reduced and they have been running perfect for 2 weeks now and i have checked every bolt...of which not one has come even slightly loose (and i drive a lot !!)
Thanks for the compliments too Although there isn't too much planned due to lack of funds, however im thinking in the near future it will probobly get kitted out with coil overs, new wheels and a stainless exhaust system top to toe

"The fitment of wheel spacers (or adaptors for dual wheel conversions) between the wheel mounting face
and the road wheel is not permitted unless fitted as original equipment by the vehicle manufacturer"
http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/dow.../vsi09_rev4.pdf
insurance would be an issue here.
i personally wouldn't risk it for the sake of looks.

"When wheels and tyres outside the manufacturers recommended range are fitted to a vehicle the following
requirements must be met"
then one of the requirements is
"The fitment of wheel spacers (or adaptors for dual wheel conversions) between the wheel mounting face
and the road wheel is not permitted unless fitted as original equipment by the vehicle manufacturer"
..its confusing im still not sure on whether they are illegal on stock wheels ?

Yeah, that sounds about right guess ill have to wait for bigger wheels. Can i go only 1 or 2 inches wider in wheels ?I take that point as in, they are illegal unless supplied as factory fitted.

I don't mind the IDEA of wheel spacers, just never use them.http://www.rta.nsw.gov.au/registration/dow.../vsi09_rev4.pdf

Most cars on here are slightly defect anyway, through tint, exhaust etc. But not enough to really get noticed by an insurance assessor.
Dale- Coilovers sound like a good idea, $850 is a good price for Buddyclub items.
If thy tint is dark and thy wheels are black thou car be declared b11tchin'
So you can run it on 6psi with an rx fuel pump?

it's not that, the underlying issue is SAFETY. that is why they are illegal...

Whats dangerous about Hubcentric spacers? All the load is distributed on the hub. I highly doubt you would snap studs.
That said, just get wheels with the offset you want. Looks better, works better and your insurance company wont mind.

Excessive load on the hub. Bearing failure.
