Paint stripped and rims washed

Primed ready for sanding and painting

Got this week off so hoping to get them finished and chuck some new tyres on them.. Tossing up between Falken FK492 and Kumho KU27 or 36.. The 31s dont have a high enough load rating for 225/45 18

Ku36>ku27

But remember the 36 is a semi slick and wet weather performance and tyre life will suffer ;)

Tyres are the number one handling mod. Spend money on them. If need be, St George Tyres sell some good tyres online quite cheaply: http://stores.ebay.c...orgetyresonline

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

225/45 18 load rating 95+ arent a common size hence their higher prices

Been quoted $225 for KU39s from Tempe... I rang other few places and they all quote around the $300+ mark

They are apparently ranked pretty high http://www.kumho.com...id=blog&did=271

Tempe had Bridgestones & Continentals for $325 but on OzFoz they said they both tramline

Yeah 39's are ok...36's are a massive step up...and theyre semi slicks ;)

I only paid $150 a corner for 225/45 17 and an getting a quote atm for some 225/40 18....hopefully under $200!

Ku36 comes in 95w rating for 225/45 18 :D

Edit: 18s suck for prices lol, cheapest i found was $270/corner fitted :(

Treadwear for KU36 low at 180 compared to 290 for KU39.

I drive nearly 500km/week and i rarely push the car to the max so KU39 will be suffice

Just for you Matt

Will do Shaz!

Im pretty tempted to just pay the extra and get some RE11's from tyrerack, as they are a much better overall tyre...particularly in the wet ;)

KU36 is not a semi slick. its a RT (Road Track tyre). They are marketed as a UHP road/track tyre.

It is a great tyre for the money but recently prices have skyrocketed due to not being able to get from the same distributor.

KU39 looks like a nice street tyre.

Hi,

Nice work mate.

18's for a Foz are a pain in the arse due to the load rating. I know the pain mate!

Cheers,
Nik
