+1 for the above suggestion.
Remove the slave cyl, then try if you can move the fork back & forth with your hand -if so, then the fork isn't attached to the throw out bearing and your up for a big job.
Now if you can't move the fork, re-install the slave cyl, then perform clutch fluid air bleeding.
Not really, when i did KNG02L's box (93 RS liberty) i didn't have the fork on the bearing correctly at first. Managed to move it around and get it in place in a few minutes.
Think about it Logically, the only reason you'll need a new clutch kit is if yours is worn out, or your clutch plate is smashed and broken. Turning off your car and leaving it overnight doesn't wear out the clutch.
Sounds like the clutch fork isn't getting a full stroke, which would be caused by either the slave or master cylinder.
Or your bearing has come of the clutch fork, which is unusual as the clutch fork locks into the bearing.
I'd be starting with the easy things like bleeding your system before i even considered a clutch. new fluid will cost you like $6 and you'll probably have some left over.
You'll be able to get a second hand slave or master cylinder fairly cheap too
