Saw Cowboys and Aliens tonight, which was actually a lot better than I expected. Conan was a bit meh.

ATO must have reviewed my file after I submitted my tax on Monday - I never did a tax return for 08/09 financial years, but I never worked for those years since I was in Uni. Always comes back to haunt you eventually, seems from the point you get your TFN you have to do an Income Tax Return.. even if you are failing at life, mooching off your parents :P Rang them and they 'put a note on my file for those years'.

Oh yeah and they screwed like $300 out of my parents for some error an accountant made about 8 years ago. Haha, times are tough.

Putting down a homebrew. Just an extract kit, but hopefully it's drinkable.

What did you put down? I never had any real good results from the extract stuff (most likely just me) but the pre-hopped ones I found were rubbish.... the malt extract with a mini-mash and hop additions better, but man Ghettoeskymashtun + full mash has produced the best result so far.. I still have a lot of work to do it before I am happy but I am at least making something now that I can drink and not feel completely disgusting for.

@Josh - it's a Deliverance kit. It's got a stee-PAC that aims to make it like a Sierra Navada Pale Ale. Tasting the green wort, I'm doubtful. Doesn't taste bad, just not very pale ale like.
I used a strainer for the stee PAC. After steeping for 15 minutes I poured it through the strainer into a sterilized stainless bowl, then poured that back through the micro mash in the strainer to replicate recirc. Did that twice, then sparged with another litre of hot liquor. What I added to the fermenter was pretty darn clear, so hopefully I've minimized the amount of "trub" that's gone into the fermenter.
Pitched at 25*c and when I got up this morning it was bubbling away at 22*c. Hopefully it wasn't a too rapid start to ferment. Mind you, a bit of diacetyl might improve the finished flavour? Hehe

Sig worthy.

That Diy monster truck vid is classic. Why the **** was the "spotter" waving at the dude who's truck was getting mashed? Probably would have saved a lot of problems if he'd been getting the attention of the other guy. Hatesbeingadumbhick.

Sig worthy.
