Just out of interest, How did you get into motoring journalist work?
Is this the replacement for the E90 M5? Loved those. A customer of mine has one that's had "some tuning", thing is completely spastic when you give it beans( think breaking traction in a tall gear) but so composed and civilized when you just want to punt it around town.
Sig worthy.

Just watched Dukes of Hazzard.
Yeah. The OG one.
That was a mad show.

@marv, that's shit mate. Work should never cause enough stress to induce health issues. It's just not right. We don't live to work.

Yeah, I love publishing but this is BS. I got into it by spending 6months as a student journalist doing work experience for Street Machine. I was in the right place at the right time to jag a gig on a mag that was starting up here at ACP at the time called Speed. Spent a couple of years on it, then moved to Auto Salon Mag when Speed was shut down. I do miss being a motoring writer - way better than having a real job. Pity the pay is so low.
E90 is the M3, mate. E60 was the previous M5 (5L V10 one). If you thought that last M5 was good, imagine what that 500hp V10 would be like if you jammed it into an E30. "Epic" doesn't quite sum it up

Can't believe a dude with an Outback has that many posts on a Supercar forum.

Last of the properly cantankerous Lambos, built to annoy and enthrall in equal parts (with a side of setting you on fire and giving you back spasms from terrrible ergos)
I drove a Diablo VT and it epitomised the term "bonkers". What every supercar should be - stupid and lairy.
Yeah E60, Durr. That was a bit of a fruedian slip on my part.
Good work, Sublime. YOU F**KED THE INTERNET! I hope you're happy.

By having things in common, I wasn't just referring to exotic love, I was more talking health issues rising from working 70+h weeks.

I saw that guy in the US that dropped an M5 V10 into that E30. I didn't see the finished car though. I bet it went like stink. Bit dubious about the handling with that massive motor over the front axle. Or did he do some trick engineering there too?

S85B50s go like stink in a 1900kg M5, so in a 1200kg M3 they are positively stupendous. I've got all the pics, too. It's the Piper Motorsports car (the silver one using a crate motor). The awesome thing about the Piper car is it uses E60 and E90 front and rear suspension. Also, the S85 isn't really that heavy, so it doesn't hurt the handling much. Epic conversion is epic.
There's a black one from Sweden that has modified cams, tune and exhaust for even more grunt.

Oh yeah. This is still better than my last job in PR - drive 1hr to be @ work @ 645-7am. Leave work 9-10pm. No lunch breaks. No thanks. Awesome.

Hmm. Don't think this is it. Not sure how many 6.0's are in WA though, photo seems to be taken in VIC.
Anyway. Yumm!
