Congratulations on the purchase.

I have a soft spot for BMW's. I go all gushy for them.

If I was to do a BMW again, it'd be something like this:

I don't understand this?

How to people scam people like this?

I got a text this morning from some John guy wanting to email me.

Nick,I'll love to know your reason for selling the car, I'll be paying$7,800 for the car, I have offered that price because i want to be thenext owner of the car and i will be glad if you sell the car to me.Also i will be happy if you remove the AD from the site and considerme as your favourite buyer by ignoring all other offers and I promiseto take care of the car even more than you have done in the past.kindly let me know if my offer is good enough.John.

That's what he replied in his email.. and I have it offered for $7500.

I miss that car. My goodness it'd be a different car if I still had it.

Nice BMW.

Wow, I am unsure about QLD's I hear you can't drive Turbo or V8 unless you get an exemption, but I also heard that there is now a KW limit, I believe its 200kw, meaning kids can't drive fast V6 commodores/falcons etc...

EDIT: Found it.

High-powered (performance) vehicles include those with:

  • eight or more cylinders
  • a turbo-charged or super-charged engine that is not diesel powered
  • an engine that has a power output of more than 200 kW as per the manufacturer's specifications
  • a rotary engine that has an engine capacity of more than 1146cc as per the manufacturer's specifications
  • a modified engine that must be approved under section 13 of the Transport Operations (Road Use Management — Vehicle Standards and Safety) Regulation 2010.
The following vehicles are exempt and can be driven:
  • Suzuki Cappuccino 2D Cabriolet Turbo 3 657-698cc (1992-1997)
  • Daihatsu Copen L880 2D Convertible Turbo 4 659cc (2003 or later)
  • Smart fortwo coupe 2D Turbo 3 698cc (2000 or later)
  • Smart fortwo Cabriolet Turbo 3 2D 698cc (2000 or later)
  • Smart Roadster Turbo 3 2D 698cc (2000 or later).

Seems they are adding more exempt turbo cars as time goes on, kei (micro cars) and diesels. Explains why my mates GF can drive her Copen.

Parramatta Prestige in Northmead for all your mechanical needs.

Easiest cars I've ever done oil changes on.

Buy yourself an ECU reset tool also. Ebay for those.

At least they get to drive a Smart for two 2 dr cabriolet. Guys will pull chicks easily in those.

Oops I said chicks, but meant dicks.

That also puts a Rav4 v6 out of the question, and an Aurion. Serious muscle cars those ones.

@Richo - pretty much the same here mate. Making beer tomorrow though.

Sig worthy.
