A mate of mine on RSLiberty Club and I are looking at doing a driver training day at Morgan Park (Warwick). We're pretty sure we have another few guys coming along.
SDT are great and its a top day out. They teach you heaps and its applicable for the road as well.
Approximate price is $250 for half day and we are looking at December 3rd.
At the moment this is a EOI, but if we get more than 10 the whole session is ours.
After the guys have shown you some pointers they let you loose on the track.
Meets and cruises are great but this is what all the looking under the bonnet of each other's cars is about.
EDIT.
This is on for sure now boys.
Cost is $220 which is a discounted rate because there is already a few of us going.
Saturday 3rd December.
Let me know pronto please so that we can reserve our spots.
Here are the relevant forms.

Please write on the form that you are with RSLiberty Club/SubyClub to qualify for the discount.

Get on this.
Standard brakes, autos an lack of turbos are no excuse.
Its not racing. I've done these days and blokes have rocked up in stock auto Commodore wagons, Ford Courier utes etc. I did Philip Island (a fast track that loves horsepower) in a basically stock n/a and had an absolute ball!
The day is about learning car control, picking the best line, braking points, turning the car in and the like. As Frank mentioned, stuff you can use on the road.
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

As Ben said, if this was in Sydney I'd be on it!
I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.
It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Yeah don't see how standard brakes are an excuse. If you drive around with them on the road, you might as well learn how well they can work and when to use them.

Date is set mate: 3rd of December. Don't have a choice with that.i'm also keen for it, dropping a new motor in my car today, so lets set a date, and ill get work off for it and by looking at the track im going to need a brake upgrade before then
I think the first one that Frank and I did was 5 years ago?? A bloke who looked about 50 in the shade turned up in a 4wd Hilux tray back ute. He ended up parking after the first couple of sessions and ended going in SDT evo for the rest of the day.
Standard brakes are fine as long as you get some better pads and replace the fluid with something like Castoral Response DOT4. Can be very cheaply done.

I've got to speak to Phil mate as I think he was going to call SDT and get the lowdown.I'll think about it, is there a deadline on getting back to you with confirmation? Craniac wanted to get his on a track at some point too, but again he works weekends. Its money/time pending atm.

Buzz, this isn't something you can leave to the last minute unfortunately. We need to know next week and organise payments.
Be great if you could make it. It really is a great day.
