Ok so I want some ideas on where to mount my gauges in my MY01 wrx. I have seen a few things on ebay. There is 1 that removes the clock on the dash and has room for 3 gauges or I'll just put a boost gauge just behind my steering wheel. Any help would be great guys and has anyone got one of the pods that hold the 3 gauges. Thanks

Over the next little while I am going to mount mine into my drivers side air vent.

It's currently sitting on the A pillar but apparently that's defect-worthy :(

Steering column is a popular one but you might not have clear vision of everything going on behind it...

I seriously prefer aftermarket gauges to sit on the dash, just above the steering wheel. They are easy to see and you dont have to shift your whole line of vision away from the road and the rev/speed dials. Those triple pods can look good if installed properly.

$500! But that is seriously cool. I want it to say DANGER TO THE MANIFOLD when I am redlining/too much boost, can it do that? :P

$500!

Not bad considering people spend 250-300 on a defi gauge that only does one thing.

if you want to go a multi data monitoring unit instead of the traditional gauges there are lots available on the market. Ecudatascan, Greddy Informeter, Blitz R-VIT, HKS CAMP 2 then ones which are a bit more basic such as Apexi RSM or i-Cruising, Sard Attack Meter etc. they range from around $400 to heaps more depending on the unit. Systems like the HKS CAMP 2 and Blitz R-VIT DS can actually be linked with monitors you already have installed so can show the data on your in dash dvd screen or intergrated sat nav units etc.

Some units display more data than others so just make sure that which ever one you choose displays the info your after

I was just reading the website, seems like good value if you are looking at spending that sort of money. I'd certainly prefer one that integrates with the screen on the dash though (maybe for my next beast) for the ultimate stealthy install (GTR Style)

Since i dont have my old gauge mount in there anymore this seems like a much better option :)

Ill have to make a base for it to clip into so its angled towards the driver....hmmmmm

Ill have to see if i can offload that mount i made it,as its sitting there all lonesome and stuff..... it turned out so good for a couple of hours with a dremel, some araldite and a coat in fake leather

You have a dremel, Matt?

What are the chances of me borrowing it at some point?

My gauge project has been delayed a bit because of faulty stock but at some point I want to dremel the crap out of my AC vent :P
