Most rally cars tend to use the torque of the engine thus short shifting due to the turbos restrictor limiting the top end outright power....probly goes to 10lk but does he actually use it on the course?

He probably only shifts at about 5k when rallying. Most rally cars tend to use the torque of the engine thus short shifting due to the turbos restrictor limiting the top end outright power....probly goes to 10lk but does he actually use it on the course?
10k would be showing off around a paddock.

Sounds like more short shifting than 10k shifts?
It blipped up to 10k on the downshift.

In the video or when you were in it?
It blipped up to 10k on the downshift.
Im just confused as to why antilag is set at 10k if it only "blips" to those revs on downshifts? Seems completely pointless? Its used generally on rally cars as the restrictor creates massive lag on the turbo and antilag stops this keeping the turbo speed up between changes
My mechanics rally car has antilag bangin on 5k shifts (he makes full power at about 3300rpm and short shifts a bit above 5k to utilize the torque)

Mine is still stock but has a leak up the front.Usually exhaust, mine did.
The only thing he complained about was the squeal from the amp (im sorting that out on the weekend) and i wasn't engine braking... I just use the brakes, thats what they are for right?
Then he decided to show off and heal and toe it... Barstard still has good ankles... Mine are effed cause of a accident couple a years ago. I need to use my full leg for the clutch... which is why i get tired easy some times...

To make an engine go +8000rpm is a huge step. Every 250rpm over 8000rpm is a compound of four times the stress. So 9000rpm is x128 the stress levels of 8000rpm on all reciprocating components and block architecture. The levels they have to go to to make sure it hangs together is mind boggling
