What a beautiful example of a Subaru.

I've got nothing else to say.

Please get a professional photoshoot done of this car (if you haven't already??). I need a new background for my desktop :)

Yes, do it!

Get Tangcla from liberty.asn to do it :D

Plenty in store......

New wheels 17 x 9.5 +38 on 225/45/17 Goodyears.
New brake color, possibly new front calipers later.
Retrimmed front G3 GTB seats.
Make up custom s/steel centre exhaust.
Modify flange to up pipe and fit Tomei headers after ceramic coating.
Continue with engine bay tidy up including paint manifold matt black.
Fit ARC airbox and fabricate s/steel intake.
Fabricate custom dual catch can.

That should keep me busy for a while. :D

Engine is strong and reliable and I only fitted it 20k ago. Gets good fuel economy and is faster than my work mates Gen3 2.5 OBK and also his Gen4 2.5i, both auto's.

No turbo conversion in the forseeable future. Just no need.

Wheels are JDM and white. :P

haha true, did the manual conversion make the 2.5 much better?

Interesting about the wheels

Was there anything difficult about the conversion?

I've contemplated it for mine

Not really as Ive done it before.

If you have a bit of mechanical knowledge and are handy with a spanner its not hard.

You could pick up a complete damaged or not running Gen2 manual car for $500 and just swap everyhting over.

Ah yea that's not a problem for me, dads a mechanic and I'm able to swing spanners. Plus I have  tools and a hoist available at my fingertips.

its just the money and finding the car.

This is the sort of thing Im doing....

All brackets are being painted matt black with epoxy enamel and baked. Radiator brackets pictured.

I also made an air diversion plate this evening, ran out of paint so will paint tomorrow in the same matt black.

Not doing it for any other reason than I can and have spare time and material's to do so at work.

Seats are being done by Gary Blackman in Richmond. Not cheap as theyre leather with perforated suede centres as per original Outback trim. $2k for the two seats but I know of the quality of workmanship.

I'll keep the cruise in mind. ;)

New front brakes enroute.....

Porsche Brembo's.

Radial mount so I just have to make up mounts to suit Subaru's. Looking at making them to suit the SpecB 316mm rotors.
