Attached are pics of my Ge3 2001 Liberty which has had a few mods done to it more cosmetic and audio mods. my System is currently hitting 141 DB but looking into a bigger alternator to keep up with all 4 amps so hoping i could hit mid to high 140's

Wow that is huge!

That's what she said...

Does that speaker in the footwell get in the way of your accelerator pedal?

Must have to be pretty careful getting in and out because of it.
Car audio is not my scene, but it looks pretty shiny?

I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.

It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Welcome to SC mate.

That sure is some loud speakers.
How much does all that audio gear add to the kerb weight of the car?

Enjoy your stay.

Cheers,
Shazza

Aiming for mid 140's....why? This purely for competition?

Altho, I do prefer my bootspace. Nice work nonetheless.

looks great man, what sub boxes are you running, ported or sealed? im currently running a Kicker 12" Comp sub and box with a OA 1502 amp and just pushing 142.6dB @ 62Hz so you should have no problems with twin 12's getting high 140's :) looks great btw :) i love what you have done, also how hard / easy is it to get your spare out?

To All thank you very much for the comments and the good feedback to start off the the speaker in the footwell doesnt get in the way of the accelerator pedal at all the angel that it is on allows free movement of my foot. Those speakers will end up going up on the A pillars with the tweeters in custom pods made from fiberglass very soon.

I am not sure how much weight it actually adds but it would be quite abit as the rear of the car has gotten abit more lower beacuse of it, i only have low king springs in the car but hoping to get coil overs very soon once i have some $$$$ in my pocket.

I want mid to high 140's not just for compettion but also for enjoyment as i love loud beats and bass, i do enter in bass battle competions but also in Sound quality competions and doing very well so its an all round audio setup.

The red trim is suede that i picked up from Spotlight its actually called crimson suede would look pretty cool in a red Lib.

The box is a sealed box and the subs are actually 13.5" im only pulling 141DB due to the 4 amps sucking alot of juice from the alternator i need to fit a bigger alternator with more amparage so there is no or very little valtage drop.

I designed and built the boot setup specifically that way to be able to get the spare tyre out easilly as its my daily driver and i drive far for work so to get the spare out its simple just lift out the perspex and pull out the tyre.

Cheers gents thank you for your comments hope ive answered all your questions

Billy

Do you have a standard RX alternator in it now? Pretty sure the Outback's are rated at 20amps or so higher.

Outback's are the same EJ251 engine, but have a higher rated output so it fit's in the same brackets, same belt etc.

Hmmm thanx i did some research last night and found a company called Maniac Electric motors in the US that not only have replacement alternators but also have upgraded alternator 140 and 160amp alternators that use the same housing as the factory alternator, so i ordered myself a 160amp 1 today.

Convenient! so did you do it yourself? Im really quite interested in it haha.

Nice, i have trouble enough with my lump of a sub box in the way of the compartment, i really should get it to fit behind the rear seat lol...

yeah i did it myself the first door trim was hard but once i knew what to do exactly the others were easy, You have to drill through the plastic welds on the back of the door trim to able to seperate it to remove the factory trim and glue the new trim.

Any more details on these?

Are these a custom rewind? Or a totally new replacement alternator?
