The dogs were bored as hell a few weeks ago because it had been raining for a few days, so we folded the seats down, shoved em in the back and went for a drive.

Drove around town for a while with them and then come home.

The misses gets bored easily. And if it keeps her off my back the dogs can put up with it lol they love the attention but.

In other news
I ordered a new filter from the states as well. $26 delivered. Can't complain with that.

Night and day really. Old filter didn't have much debris in it as I cleaned it a few months ago.

Hahaaa, those dogs both look pretty awesome.

Do you live in NSW? Did you restrain them while driving around?

A little bit of an update with the car,

Installed some 03??? (I think) WRX wagon struts and springs I got off Cam on Friday night. Ride is so much smoother and more suited to what I wanted. Been cruising around all weekend and loving the difference. The Sti setup was just to harsh for my needs. I think I'll look at upgrading to bigger tyres next time around as well to try and cushion the ride that little bit more. Currently running 225/45 but might run 225/50. Opinions?

So thanks for hooking us up Cam. Jemma said to thank you and she approves haha.

Anyway I've also come to the realisation I've got a shed full of parts I need to get rid of. Ill post up a FS thread when I can get photos of everything. Here's a quick list for anyone that may be interested.

Stock 06XT turbo back exhaust.
Stock 06XT struts and springs with self levelling rears (120,000ks)
06 WRX Sti struts and springs modified to fit standard Hubs (80,000ks or there abouts)
XT whiteline 22mm adjustable rear swaybar + HD mounts + HD endlinks
Xforce 4" oval muffler
XT brakes with pads and discs front and back
XT black leather seats with airbags

Few other bits and bobs but ill throw them up when in the FS thread with photos

Yep, 03 WRX Wagon. They should still feel pretty solid.

How come you haven't got the whiteline bar on anymore?

Something wasn't quit right with the setup and the endlinks where fouling on the sway bar. Thinking the mounts may have had something to do with it. If someone knows a simple solutions ill chuck it back on

i have been to 2 accidents where unrestrained dogs have killed people. i have been to others where dogs have been ejected from vehicle. most low speed accidents too.

Have you put any more thought into squeezing some more power out of the engine. Like strapping on one of those intake fans

Did a compression test today, motor had gone pretty much cold by the time I'd removed everything. Quite happy with the results. All close to each other and I think they read lower due to the motor being cold.

Was getting a bit of blow by and was using a bit of oil. Come to the conclusion I need a catch can

Yeah next oil change will be with delvac. And too be honest. If I ever wana check that again ill pay someone to do it. Or borrow someone's work shop. Not enough tools in my shed yet.

Wet test? You mean with a small amount of oil in each cylinder??!

So Ben from Ichiban called me to tell me my clutch was done today and that I was getting a miss on cylinder 4 (If i remembered correctly) so thats why I was getting a CEL and the car was running like shit. So hopefully the car will be running smooth as when I get it back.

Also he informed me that the clutch that was in it was a non turbo liberty clutch. Keents

So he's saving the old clutch for me to take back to the place I bought it from, how hard is it to give someone the right clutch?? Guess I should have checked them against each other but still. Hopefully I can score a few $$ back, just have to dig back through my old receipts.
