Its a liberty one I think, and I didnt go into the finer details. Would have to be a SMF to fit wouldnt it? He said the only reason it wasnt working was it couldnt handle the powaaaa... so yeah. Its left me a bit bitter.

Bloody oath, I can still remember going into the place and asking for one. They were asking me if it was DMF or SMF and I was like, shouldnt 'you' know this?

Going to dig through my receipts when I get back to mum and dads and then pay them a visit

Cheers Cam.

Pain in the ass this particular job was. And also someone has pulled my lights apart before and fudged a heap of plastics and the inside of one of the lenses. I they don't leak now we've fixed them ill keep them if not ill move them on.

Still look a thousand times better

It does look nice. It would stand out from other XT Foresters.

Sooooooo

the car is at Autocraft subaru, trying to sort out a misfire on cyl 4. Had the plugs changed and gapped correctly, had a compression test done (all good), swapped coilpacks over (problem stayed at 4), had injectors tested and flowed and all was good.

Still a miss on cyl 4. Glad they are looking at it now. Only thing I can think of is tune maybe, earths bad, no idea what else would cause it. Their is some hinting it could also be a bin cam solenoid.

Fingers crossed its nothing more sinister. Want to just start enjoying this car. Sick of having one problem after another with it. Bit disheartening.

Been researching like mad all night tonight. It's gotta be a bung sensor or electrical issue. Camshaft sensor, 02 sensor or something.

It's getting plenty of fuel so the only other thing would be tune. But it's been running that tune for ages and no troubles till now. It's doing my head and my wallet in at this stage.

Hard to keep my chin up with it all

So the car has now thrown camshaft sensor codes at the workshop. So they are getting tested and replaced if need be. The intake manifold has to come off to Change one side so it's a bigger job then first thought.

Was really bad timing. Could have done a lot of the work myself if it wasn't for my appendix. Hopefully this fixes the issue and I can get it back and enjoy the thing. Was hoping to have MSR tune it but looks like all the cash that was going towards that will now be gone.

Your number plates are the exact same colour scheme I'll be going for. ;)

It's good to get these things out of the way so that you know you have a vehicle that's in schmick quality man. All in good time.

The car is know fixed. Pick it up tomorrow.

The left camshaft sensor was fudged, was a simple fix in the end, just racked up a bill but on labour as it was basically the last thing that was checked. I'm happy with that but if it's completely fixed now. And good insurance as now I know everything else should be working too.

Fingers crossed happy days are too ensue.
