I know this has probable been asked before but will Gen 4 GT rims which are 215/45/18 offset 55 fit a 2000 Gen 3 Outback Limited.
The rims on my Outback are the originals which are 215/60/16 offset im pretty sure is 48.
Ive found a set of GT rims and want to get them but need to make sure they will fit fine on my car.
Cheers
Chris

Standard GT rims only came out in 17"
The will fit but you might get some scrubbing on full lock because of the offset difference. I put up with the slight scrubbing for a few months and it was no biggie

Well if they fit im going to get them. My mum has a 2006 spec b with the early version same size rims and she paid $495 for bridgestone tyres.
Im guessing the tyres arent going to be cheap

I'm a big fan of the early spec B rims. I've got some coming my way as soon as I can get the cash

And naugh sorry it was $495 for each tyre brand new.
Well its settled then im going to get these rims and save up for some new tyres. Got tread till about christmas left on my current tyres so i better save fast.
Yeah there the rims. One has a tiny scuff mark on it and the rest are like brand new the ones im looking at.

Just bought them. SOO happy!!!
My mums are the orginals. Bridgestone Potenzas. Supposedly there RRP is $550. Knowing my mum she probably got ripped off.
I certainly dont want to pay $495 a tyre so what have people with these rims got for tyres and what did you pay??

I have toyo t1r on those wheels, think they were about $210 a tyre. If your mum paid $500 a tyre, she got ripped the off.I certainly dont want to pay $495 a tyre so what have people with these rims got for tyres and what did you pay??
I would have gone to the kitchen, collected a brown bag, dropped my dacks, pinched off a loaf in said bag, done up dacks, stickytaped bag, placed bag in envelope, and mailed it right to your face for being such a tool.
It's ok, sometimes when we herp, we also derp.

Also the offset of the Gen 3 Outback is +48 and your going to a +55 which already see's you 7mm further in so be wary of going a wider tire as you may rub on the strut or inner guard on lock.
