MSRSDSC?

I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts,  :fork: right off.

Finally got it Sunday afternoon.
It started first go, ran a little rough initially but got better as it warmed up (expected when it hasnt moved in months). Brakes work, clutch works, lights work, dash works, drove it home. (50m down the road)

The good.
Needs little for roadworthy
Front tyres are brand new
Drives really well
Engine runs well
Interior is in good condish
All the lights work
All the extras were on from factory

The bad.
Roof has no paint left
Back tyres are bald
Drivers seatbelt frayed (Replacement came with car)
Head unit wiring harness has been butchered (they had a 6 stacker thats no longer in there)
Fair bit of junk in the car

Got it home and gave it a clean.

OK so... Just went and got a few bits for the car from repco.

Car costs
Car $300
Oil & filter $45
Head unit wire harness $15
New wipers $20
Total so far: $380

Went asking for price of tyres, $220 for two fitted and balanced. Soonest RWC i can get done is Thursday.
Looks like i should be able to get it done.

Twist wires together, shove in head unit.
Complain that car has caught on fire, and that parents hate you.

Of all the things i would jew out on, electronics wont be one :P

When i got my Falcon, the head unit was installed by twist and tape... half an hour of soldering latter and the speakers were working.

E:
With the roof, to prevent rust, should i sand it back and paint with rustguard before i vinyl it?
Just to be safe?

If the paint looks damaged enough to let bare metal show, then it probably wont hurt! Should only take one can. Just prep properly, otherwise you are wasting your time.

Remove all flaking paint ~120-200 grit should be fine, considering you are vinyling it!
Wash with wax/grease remover.
Spray
