http://cgi.ebay.com....atchlink:top:en

Spotted this muffler on eBay, which Fujitsubo muffler is that... looks like a Fujitsubo Legalis R Evolution for a B4, if it is, its the cheapest/most decent one I have seen in ages... and I just got my tax back.. just want to know if its worth giving it a shot.

I do have an xForce MP02 here I was going to do the same (diffback) but cbf because of its 3" inlet, I think its too big for a stock B4 tbh, would have to go catback, and then tune to get the benefit. Honestly just chasing boxer sound, but any benefit as a bonus would be appreciated haha. Don't want a cannon.

Item identification, to see if it is actually a bolt on for the B4 exhaust? The item description suggests it may be for a B4.

And possibility of my car sounding like this.

1) 3" isn't too big for a TT. It's ideal (especially when you have 2.5" dumps)
2) YouTube sucks for sound replication. Thus shouldn't be used for sound sampling.
3) Stick the MP02 on. I've had both (Super Legalis R + xforce MP02) and I like the MP02 much more.
4) Take it to a muffler shop and get them to fit it.

Then win at life.

So keep the xForce until I can afford to get it fitted as a 3" catback? The step down to 2" on the stock exhaust is pretty crap. I have just had a few exhaust shops look at me funny when I request 3" for my car. It put me off doing it, and after what happened to me a couple weeks ago I don't trust anyone with my car at the moment.

Cheers anyway.

I have the same fujitsubo muffler. Bolted up with no issues to stock piping and I noticed an instant increase in top end with it over the sti genome one :) Isnt too loud and doesnt drone.

I have made a youtube video of it in diffback and another with 3inch catback. Sound barely changed.

BTW, my exhaust shop first suggested 4inch exhaust for the catback but I didnt want anything too loud.

Yeah I was interested in the convenience of being able to bolt the sucker on in the driveway, rather than go to the extreme of taking it to a workshop. That is all I wanted to know, if it was a B4 muffler and if it was bolt on. So I could grab it while it is on sale. Didn't mean for the thread to go into further details. I know everyone has their own opinion on exhaust.

All TT owners are delusional thinking that their cars are fast/cheap/easy to maintain/reliable.

Try this on for size: Take your car to a mechanic. Lift the bonnet. And watch the expression on his face if he hasn't already kicked you out of his shop.

But you're right. It doesn't help.

But every now and again, some poor TT owner sees the light.

I'm just doing my bit. I once was one of those lost souls.

The thing is Alex will troll every thread related to a twin turbo. Even if the car is the owners pride and joy he'll make a point of making the owner feel inadequate because he has been there and done that. It isn't like we don't already know what he has to say, most of us bought the car knowing the motor is complicated from the beginning. I personally searched for a while to find one that didn't run like shit, and mine has served me well now for over 18 months as a daily driver. It's quicker than my mates stock WRX, this has been tested. Its not quicker than an STi :P

The best advice I have been given is to not Posted Image with modding the motor, let it run as is and mod other things around the car. Personally I am also of the opinion that if its run for 160k without pinging itself to death, why even bother tuning it if its not pinging and runs well. I'd rather it died completely so I could drop in a proper single turbo motor rather than convert it to a single. Or sell and upgrade. Its not that hard to understand from how I talk about my car, I look after it as best I can for what it is.

I knew this is where the thread would go, and its one of the reasons I rarely make threads about my car on this forum now. I'll continue to hang onto the MP02 if I am going to go 3", thanks for the offer's/pm's though guys. As for YouTube sound production, I know its only a remote sample of how it would sound, I studied multimedia... and yes I have heard the MP02 in action and they do sound nice. Just worried about 3" on the stock gear and was looking into other alternatives.
