Hi Guys,

The initial excitement of coil overs has almost worn off, and I now want to set my car up for daily duties.

What I want to know is the correct procedure for winding the dampening to the softest setting.

1: wind all the way to hardest (will it stop once it's there?)
2: Wind back down 30 clicks (Again, will it stop once it's reached the softest settings?)

The chinglish instructions are quite vague

Cheers!

Yes,

On most jap coilovers you need to wind it all the way up (right), then back to what you where you want. So 30 clicks back to your left

Cheers Guys, was worried I was going to wind too far and have something fall off/explode/go flying into the next universe.

I love them as well! But they can be pretty harsh at times! Mind you, i haven't changed them from factory setting!

Careful as too soft and youll get some annoying trail on bouncing over the bumps lol

Im on tein flexes and find the most comfy setting is 3 from the hardest, with the rear generally one click harder (out of 16 positions)

Any softer and when i hit a bump the car keeps bouncing particularly under heavy acceleration, now i get one bounce then it steadies out again

Yep that sounds about right mark, i used to have my flexes on 7-8 (middle) and had no annoying bouncing

Suppose i just got a few clicks harder every few weeks til i ended up where i am lol...though the dampers should be set to the spring rates and not used as a setting for ride comfort as far as ive learnt?

I wound em all the way down, because I remember Mark said he had em set at that, aaaages ago! Might wind em back up to 15 tomorrow morning haha.

They were set at 8 from hard at front and 4 from hard on the rear, handled awesome, just wanted to play around :)

Didn't get time to adjust this morning.

Drove to work on softest setting, didnt get any bounce at all! Stupidly comfortable compared to what they were! Softer than all the strut spring combos that I have had! Obviously handling took a slight hit, but for week day duties, I'm chuffed!

Otherwise its getting them from the US (Import Image where the cheapest I checked a while ago).
