So I went over to OzLib this morning to check a couple of DIY posts, and it appears the site is down for good now?

Such a shame. They had a huge amount of info and guides over there.

Yeah looks like its over. GTrydaz went down a month or so ago so I figured it was only a matter of time till ozliberty got pulled as well...

Let's try and get some more DIY threads happening over here. Might be time for another DIY comp to get everyone involved again

Hi,

Let's maintain respect for those that invested heavily in the OzLib forum. Without GTRydaz, there would be no OzFoz. Without OzLib, there would be no SubyClub.

How quick some forget.

Utopian forums... haha.

Cheers,
Nik

ozlib was where I first weighed up which Lib I should get with my budget at the time. There was some really helpful threads there and most of my used parts came from there. Hopefully someone has compiled the important information gathered. Far too many individual forums/clubs anyway if you ask me.

I too started on Ozlib, and it was great..
but it does go to show that if the site changes too much and you don't listen to your members.. people move on..

I met heaps of great people through the site. one of which is my best mate now.

not that i checked on there at all the last 12 months but i did grab all my DIY's and post them here from back in the day.

Ozliberty was great when I had my gen3 But the last couple of years ozliberty went down hill rather quickly for some reason. I've since moved on to club liberty asn with my gen4 as with quite a few others.

Sad to see it go if it has.

Yeah I started out there also, and spent a bit of time on RSLC. For me, I lost interest in OzLib when they changed their forum over to the last style. I just couldn't get my head around it, so I only ever went there for the DIY's. I gave up on it completely once all the hotlinks stopped working and came over here.

However, I admin (god mode) at another forum, and I know how much work goes into keeping a site alive. I'd like to thank everyone involved in OzLib for their efforts throughout the life of the community.

4th: Gen1 GX bought for $500 went like stink... looked like what caused the stink
5th: More civilized now... with a Heritage Wagon... now gone...
6th Mitsubishi KJ Verada..."its nothing like a suby" now gone...

Just guessing it's down temporarilly.
Rick's probably looking for ways to stuff it up even more.
Where's "XON"? He may be able to shed some light on what's happening over there.
As Tony Montana would say:
In this country, you gotta make the money first.
Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.

I think if it is gone, a dedicated liberty forum will one day come back :) The different generations seem to be spread over several forums and it would be great to have a central base forum that actually worked for us Liberty/Legacy owners.
