Just go the GenIV GT front and rears (316mm front and 290mm vented rears).
I agree. You will benefit more from these.Maybe you could sell the 4pots to help finance the upgrade?
If I told you I was a compulsive liar, would you believe me?

Id just fit 2 pots as you already have the matching fronts.
Gen4 GTB brakes are marginally better up front, but not in the rear, 2 pots are better. Sort of evens out.

Type 3??? Gen3 you mean??Are dog bones needed to fit the 2 pot rears ? My plan was to have the type 3 hubs machined to accept the R180 drive shafts/bearings.. Herd this is needed ??
Cheers Vice.
Yes i believe dog bones are needed mate, the rear gen3 hubs need maching out to fit the sti bearings i think, and then i also think the driveshafts need machining too??
I have the R180 setup on my car, best bet would be to talk to Al at AMauto as hes done it a few times including on my car

You have to change to R180 hubs, not just machine yours to suit the driveshafts. As your backing plates would still be R160.
$165 for rear adapters versus $$$ for a R180 conversion.

Sell four pots.Got the 4 pots for free.. So yea... Ill prob go a aftermarket big brake kit down the track when i start putting serious KW into the engine. But for the mean time im just trying to get the car driving..
Save a little more cashish.
Buy Brembo.
Aftermarket big brake kits are for chronic masturbators with superiority complexes who like to get defect notices.
Whereas Brembos are *almost* a factory fit. Front bolt on. Rear, there are options to make fit, all ADR approved.
If you look hard enough, you can find s/h Brembos for very cost effective prices.
