You have got me thinking....
I might do a bit of research on this as I'm definitely no expert quite possibly got it all'ed up.
No you've got it pretty bang on. I went searching last night. There were some Mustangs used in England that had the RR Merlin fitted. But the majority of US built ones were fitted with a copy of the Merlin which was built by Packard, once they realized the Allison was going to cope a hiding over Europe.
Best not be like last Thursday.Back to rain today. This weather is impossible to pick.

Sig worthy.

Shorts and shirt when the wind chill is pretty much freezing wasn't much fun. Hoping into the ute felt like we had just landed in the tropics. Also, all this while holding onto a gas gun that started freezing up.
AWESOME.

Growing up in an area that is sub-tropical you would think I would to a certain degree like the heat and humidity... but I just can't get used to it LOL... I noticed on the weekend the difference in humidity between there and Sydney.

Definitely one of the very rare occasions that the cold got to me. Also, I was sent home for being nearly dead, so that probably had something to do with it.
