I put up with people from amnesty, red cross and now the cancer council almost daily hounding me!! Throw in the greens, green peace, unhcr, save the forking children and I've well and truly hit my limit for the number of fuckstains wanting me to sign something or give money. Seriously cubts, right off.

I'm awfully surprised to find myself sober. And, being sober, I take up my pen to write a few lines, hoping they will find you as I am at present. I want to know a few things. In the first place: Why does a man get drunk? There seems to be no excuse for it. I get drunk because I am in trouble, and I get drunk because I've got out of it. I get drunk because I'm sick, or have corns, or the toothache: and I get drunk because I'm feeling well and grand. I get drunk because I was rejected; and I got awfully drunk the night I was accepted. And, mind you, I don't like to get drunk at all, because I don't enjoy it much, and suffer hell afterwards. I'm always far better and happier when I'm sober, and tea tastes better than beer. But I get drunk. I get drunk when I feel that I want a drink, and I get drunk when I don't. I get drunk because I had a row last night and made a fool of myself and it worries me, and when things are fixed up I get drunk to celebrate it. And, mind you, I've got no craving for a drink. I get drunk because I'm frightened about things, and because I don't care a damn. Because I'm hard up and because I'm flush. And, somehow, I seem to have better luck when I'm drunk. I don't think the mystery of drunkenness will ever be explained - until all things are explained, and that will be never. A friend says that we don't drink to feel happier, but to feel less miserable. But I don't feel miserable when I'm straight. Perhaps I'm not perfectly sober right now, after all. I'll go and get a drink, and write again later.

Yeah, I was reading an article about those planes a while ago.

~~Hitler developed them as a scare tactic for invasion forces or something or rather.~~ I'm thinking of a different plane.

edit** Sorry, he coupled them with a Junkers Jumo 004B jet motor to outrun allied planes, and armed them with 2 30mm cannons, but the motors used too much fuel and due to no vertical control, they were hard to control, and needed a parachute to help land.

They made a couple of flying prototypes too.

The one above was made in the USA as a replica by a company that builds stealth fighters for the US airforce.

The thing I'm thinking of was a UFO type aircraft, that Hitler commissioned General Hans Hammler (German SS) to build between 1941 and 1943 so that they could fly long distances, and bomb New York and London, and also be able to drop extra munitions and armory to ground based troops.

Thats what they originally wanted to build, but ended up making the Messerschmidt 262 Luftwaffe instead.

Leaves TAFE early to visit Kt at her new job and swap cars with her so I can finally change the oil and give the thing a much needed detail.

Drives 100m and notices a weird feeling.

Rear right tyre is flat. Large screw pierced right through. Fantastic!

20 mins later the spare is on and I'm now at Bobby J's getting the hole plugged up.
