Hey all, just recently joined here so I'm abit of a noob atm :P I've got a 97 liberty rx and was thinking of doing abit of work on it aiming for about 150hp atw n/a because I'm still on my P's, any thoughts on if this is possible and what numbers I would be seeing? labour isn't an issue because I'd be doing all the work so just cost of parts etc if anyone could help me out it'd be great. :)

There was a guy a few years back with a 92 liberty that was running over 200KWATW out of a naturally aspirated 2.5(or 2.0, I cant remember the details too well).
A few guys on this forum will be able to point you to a thtread all about it I'm sure.
It was a show car as well. White with rear louvers, and gold engine bay.

200kwatw? shit thats fast, would of looked amazing too. Does anyone know if the internals are good enough to handle a better fuel/air mixture? Thinking about upgrading coil pack and what not for a bigger bang

Never let the truth get in the way of a good story.

I will admit he did well to keep the car clean, even if it was only for that photoshoot.

Seriously if you're on your P's, put a loud exhaust on it so it sounds tough, spend a little time on the exterior and interior so it looks nice and leave it at that, this is what most young guys here have done in the past until they were legal or rich enough to buy a turbo. Don't worry about power output.

Nick
