Maybe you should spend some money on a driving course or two? No point having a fast car if you can't drive it for s**t

Asks for advice, doesn't want to listen.

People are only going to get more blunt, or you won't get more replies.

You're not the first one with this idea.

I am listening and have pretty nuch scrapped the idea of trying to pull out 150hp, then again I was only asking for thoughts, and what would be the best to do with an n/a ej25.
Just curious, do ej25d heads fit on the old wrx ej20t blocks? Wouldn't their internals be stronger than the ej25d?

You can't "work" Subaru N/A engines without spending some serious money.

Get the car looking cool and be done with it. I was the same, but I don't think I was as "persistent" as you.

I've worked my engine. Before it was 140kw at the wheels, now it's close to 190kw.

That was after I spent $8000 on the engine.

But that's on my straight 6 beamer.

And I'm also on my P's.

But a beamer will cost alot more than a subaru true? :L
Im not after serious power..just a little above stock :) and im half way done with the way my car looks, just need to paint my guard, touch up any scratches, put in some bucket seats and change the rims,

That's not the point. I'm just saying.
If you want a fast car, but something like a Pulsar SSS. They are shit but they are hell quick for a p-plater. Awesome quick. And quick.
If you can spend the money, buy a Supra or an SV6 Commodore, they're hell quick too for provisonals.

If you want a little above stock, put a CAI and exhuast. You will get 1/2kw increase, thats a little, right?

Why do you want bucket seats? Do you know thats illegal and a defect unless you get an engineers certificate for it (I'm speaking from experience because I got defected for having bucket seats and received 1 demerit point for it and I had to completely take them out of the car to get it cleared). Are you going to be racing the car?

Aren't wrx seats some what of a bucket seat? I wasn't talking about aftermarket bucket seats lol
And im sure extractors back exhaust, cai and better fuel will give more than 1/2kw?

I will sound like it has 100kw's more but really won't do anything as stated in at least 15 other threads.

It already sounds alot faster than it is but better flow means more room to breathe, especially when the fuel mixture isn't only going to be 98 octane and atmospheric air, so it needs to be able to easily get rid of the exhaust gases

About 5k I'm guessing? Inc gearbox and diff?

This thread delivers!!!!!!!!
As Tony Montana would say:
In this country, you gotta make the money first.
Then when you get the money, you get the power.
Then when you get the power, then you get the women.

Do you really think a 20% decrease in displacement would be the best way to improve NA power?

You should put an electric turbocharger on it.
They're fairly inexpensive (from eBay) and you should see a good improvement of about 50kw's at the wheels.

Hi,

I genuinely have pride that we are a forum that doesn't do the old 'initiation' bashing - but in this case, if you read back, you've completely ignored some of the most knowledgeable people available to you - giving you free advice from their years of Subaroooooing.

If I ask a question, and every single person on this forum says it's a bad idea, I take that as gospel. That's how SubyClub operates.

If you want to fish around for the answer that you want, rather than the answer that you need, hit up a different forum. But SC is the truth.

Cheers,
Nik
