Just buy Bens SVX.

I agree. The SVX is in good nick. I haven't seen it myself but I was considering it as an option when I was trying to find a Subaru. You don't like it SC00BY? It's P-plater legal and you'll have a decent ride.

Wanting to buy/looking for: single genuine STi rim, genuine STi front lip, Corazon or Zero/Sports grille and another OEM grille

Can you hook a brother up? Please contact me now. I have cash ready.

Take those spares and whip them up here. You're bound to get business. So long as you're not dodgy.

$6,000 is pretty low for what you're after I think but I'm sure there are possibilities. Just keep an eye out for a good deal is all I can advise.

There is something there that I read that will shoot you down everytime, especially as the local police will see the turbo bonnet with a P plate in the window and instantly pull you up. Those rules state that any modification that requires an engineers certificate (so basically any performance modification, wheels included if they get picky) will recind any approval you get to drive it. The government know how to make laws to restrict people, don't be a fool and try to beat them at their own game. Just wait dude, thats what I did (not that I had those laws to contend with, but I was thinking of affordability of insurance).

I know this is probably a moot point, but have you thought of things like cost of insurance? Last I knew, there were very few providers who cater to young drivers with turbo vehicles. Just Cars is one of few, and they will charge you approx 1500 to 3000 a year for it, depending on your history and the details of the car.

MY00 Red RX, a nice daily that was sold off once the B4 became reliable...
MY02 Blue B4, aka 'The Project' - v8 JDM STi engine package and assorted other 'goodies' - Sold, then bought back for parts. Stripped and crushed.
MY03 Blue RX, the newer old daily, pretty well more B4 than RX now... In the process of being converted to the track toy... Watch this space!
MY02 Silver Wagon, H6 conversion, full blue/black leather and almost full black interior to go with it.
MY03 White/Silver H6 Outback, donor car for silver waghoon.
MY97 Silver RX, acquired to become track car, but plans changed. To be stripped and scrapped in time.

Realistically you can not buy and insure a turbo Subaru for $6K so this thread is irrelevant before even taking the law into consideration.

I'm getting just under that $1,500 mark from Just Car, and mine is non-turbo... My age is what fucks me over (until next year thank God). But allpaw4 is right man. You can't fudge your way through it especially in the eye of a cop. Not worth it in my opinion.

If you have 2 years left until you get your fulls, save up during that time then sell the Mazda and buy a decent turbo. Looking for an exemption and buying a turbocharged car for $6k won't end well.

Hi,

C'mon guys. I don't think we have another (I'm not even going to say his name) on our hands here.

One thing to remember about track days, often the blokes in the Charade are having as much, if not more fun than the blokes in their turned out machines!

Cheers,
Nik
