Todays time is brought to me by a 1967 Rado Daymaster Purple Horse Day Date Automatic

Now this is a watch.
None of this 150k+ nonsense, it doesn't try and make its main spring and balance wheel look like car pistons or have design inspired by a universal remote control cross breed with a block of swiss cheese
Breitling Navitimer Mecanique in 18K yellow gold (only 100 made) and featuring the stunnig Lemania cal 1873 mechanical movement.
This is a watch that any of us could conceivably own. You'd be hard pressed to find anything else with the looks, craftsmanship, presence, attention to detail and quality no matter how much more you pay. You would not only feel great wearing it but others would enjoy seeing it..
I do concede that the dial may be too busy for some people but you need to remember that this is a true pilots watch with detailed markings and tachymeter slide rule bezel for accurate distance, speed, time and fuel calculations
Fap fap fap..

I've always wanted a Tag Heuer watch, but even when they're on sale they're way too expensive for me.

LOL!
Cheapest one on that link is a $1,319 Formula 1 (WAU1111.FT6024), and the most expensive is a Carrera, priced at $8,099 (CAV518B.FC6237).

Not a BAD price for an F1.
How do you guys feel about buying used/refurb'ed?
Aek?

Well I might consider a Tag Heuer, but it really depends on what it looks like and how much it is. Why do you ask? Planning on selling pieces from your collection?

Would have no issue with this.
Just like buying a used car, isn't it?
With the price tag of some of these, the original owner would have surely looked after it?

Hi,
Very true. It seems a very common place practice to 'trade/sell' watches. Some of the older style pieces appeal more to me, and once they're cleaned properly they still look worn, which I like. I'm a bit turned off by the brand new look.
Cheers,
Nik
